What do you all think are the chances of Outfits/People from 2 different factions meeting some were and trading a few buggies of stuff?

I'll get all my merc buds and set up a time and place for a swap but, then I'll whistle and my squad will jump up out of hiding and blow the other guys to bits. Take all there gear, jack there rides, and haul all of it back to our secret outpost.

only trading that'd actually work, without the chance of being blow apart, would be your own Faction, or if you actually knew the person you are trading with, but other than that id be too risky and no one will do it. there will probably be trading between factions at the beginning but soon there will be far too many double-crosses to count so no one will want to risk it again. or something like that. i really dont know. i was typing this just to see if my avatar would show up, but it still sounds about right doesn't it...

I will be organizing lots of these 'trades'. I arrange to meet with an outfit at a certain place and time and then we 'trade'. Or at least trade some ammo at high velocity. :D

Afterwards I take all the vehicles that aren't in flames.

Uh oh, I have given away my top secret plan, now I will never be able to ambush helpless NC/TR. :(

Like we(TR) would even think about trusting you Vanu scum! You might be able to pull a fast one with the NC, but not us of course!!

Seeing how things have no real value, as in $$

I dont think we will ever see a black market type thing.

I would be worried about being accused of being a traitor or a cheater for meetig up with an enemy faction and making trades.

trade would probauly end up in somone jokingly shooting somone and then everyone fights and one team steels everything... wait thats just like the black market !

all ya got to do is bring a highly renowned sniper/max unit squad... and do the trade then... and let the other guys know you have them watching your back... and or you could do tradeing in the warp gates under protection of fire

And I would want the other empires reject excuses for somewhat dangerous objects why? If you HAVE TO HAVE a chaingun, then kill someone and take it. :)

It would be a good idea.

That's exactly why there won't be a black market. Nobody is trusting enough. Plus, as hamma said, nothing has any real value anyways. So if, for some strange reason, you decided you needed vanu guns, you should just go kill some vanu and take their guns. Of course you could save yourself the trouble of finding all of their hiding places.... just paint some flashlights purple and shine them on people, it'll have more or less the same effect.

Well, with all the vanu dying you'll have plenty of vanu weapons to chose from. :D

Even if you did the trade in a warpgate, you would still have to leave that warpgate. And you come across the problem of storeing the stuff you traded.

All these meetings would be is an ambush, and probably both sides would try and ambush each other and it would be mass slaughter and wouldnt be beneficial to either party. Id just go on a mission with my outfit and harvest weapons and ammo from all the dead corpses lol.

I disagree..if you get some players from 2 sides that wanna trade say...5 chainguns for say...5 jackhammers..i think u could get trades going... sure there would be some ambushes..but ull still get trades going...

for example i once saw guys in CS who would buy guns that people on the other side wanted and leave it in the base in neat little rows..let them take it..and when everyone was ready, they'd fight. wierdest thing...

You really can't do anything in a warpgate execpt be transported to another warpgate. Storeing your weapons won't be a prob if you could get back to a base and use a locker. The only prob is if and when some one tries to trade you still have to have that class cert of that weapon to use it or even carry it.
