Hey Guys, I want to get into the PS movie makin' biz, but don't know where to start.

I have Windows Movie Maker, but I don't have any kind of software, or program that will actually capture the footage.

So, What I'm asking is this:
What is a good program/software that I could use to capture footage (include price and where I might get it[internet, store etc.]) I like cheap and free, they work for me.

AND what tips do you veteran moviemakers have for a newbie?

P.S.: I looked into fraps, and it didn't really appeal to me based on the options and price, and fraps demo doesn't allow me to take long enough footage at once.

Thank ya'll for yer help.

I suggest Fraps (www.fraps.com). The newest version is $30 but the older versions are free.

Edit: Bah no Fraps well no clue then, I too have been looking for another program going to ask my movie making friend.

Don't get the demo, get an older version. The only two problems are no sound, and you can't record higher than 640x480, but tbh when you're filming Planetside you'll probably need it that small to actually be able to fight.
