Was looking at the dichromatic thread that turned into a skin/eye color thread and it reminded me of a bit of my ancestry.

It's not like being royalty or anything, but my great, great (etc) uncle is Mark Twain who's real name is Samuel Clemons. Clemons is the family name on my mothers side. We have a clear tree that goes back to him. Also on my mother's side of the family tree, but farther back, is an indian princess.

My fathers side doesn't have any famous contributions that we know about, but it is 100% italian (like off the fucking boat). Last name is Centofante, which in old italian means 100 soldiers. So maybe there was a general back there.

Feel free to post anything interesting in your family tree. If it sounds a bit extreme, be prepared to back it up with a family tree gif.

All I know is that my great grandfather was a man who wrote perverted books, my grandmother ran away to marry some prince during a revolution. So there's my screwed up story, but most of it is and may be true.

Time for the mass killings of English to get my rightful place

That being said, my mother's mother's side has been on North America since the Pilgrims got there basically, and came to Canada as loyalists. My Dad's side came over about 120 years ago from England.

My Mom's family all came over on the Mayflower, or shortly thereafter, and parked their asses in New England for 300+ years. My great-grandfather on my father's side moved to Canada from Greece and married a nice, rich Irish girl, had my Grandfather, who then moved to NY.

My family is loaded with folks. One would hunt members of hostile indian tribes, one of the best in the country, and he later married an Indian woman, one reason my skin is dark. Then my great x whatever grandmother was Anne Boleyn's sister. That puts me closer than most to the throne. So if I just kill all of Elizabeth I's descendants, I should be right in line for the throne. There's plenty, I'll try to think of more.

Actually, that puts you further than most away. For a start, the Tudors are no longer the royal family, it is now the Windsors, and even if it were still the Tudors, Anne Boleyn was killed by Henry, and thus all her family ties to the Royal family destroyed.

I don't know any specifics though. I know even less about my moms side (alot of different races) although I know her dad was a member of the 101st and fought at Bastogne.

Russian of course. Family was awarded Nobility Title (I think Tsar Peter the Great, could be wrong...have to dig it up again...but was during one of the many wars with Sweden...apparently was instrumental in defeating them). Fast Foward a few centuries, name and family much larger. Group of the the family is "outcasted" due to renouncing Orthodoxy and accepting a sectarian religion. As Russia conquers further South, the Religious Sect gets continuously banned and outcasted to the newly conqured regions to the point where we end up in what is present day Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Pre-Revolution: Part of the Religous Sect emigrates to the United States on the promise of religious freedom and exemption from the military...(no written paperwork, hence military exemption suddenly dissappears during WWI and then have a nice long history with the US Government and subsequently the Selective Service).

Post Revolution: No knowlege of family back in Russia. In United States, family grows and one family individual goes on to earn a few silver and gold medals in swimming. She also makes a big stink about East Germans using steroids (personal family quote from her "When I went in the locker room, I walked right back out because I thought I had went into the mens by accident...turns out I was in the right one").

Post Soviet Empire: We find out that our last name no longer exists in Russia as far as we can tell. Those that stayed with the Orthodoxy (and kept nobility) died during Revolution (not aware of any survivors). Those that were part of the Religous Sect, the last of them died off of old age and the younger one's either died or "dissappeared" in Afghanistan.

My mother's family has been in Montedoro, Sicily since, well, at least when Rome owned everything, building churches on the island of Sicily up until 1960 when a few of them started emigrating to America, person by person, wives without their husbands or children. Way back when, they were falconers, which explains the last name "Falcone" (the Italian word for falconer is "Falconiere").

My father's family has been in Calabria, Italy (the toe of the boot) or Caltinisetta, Sicily since the year 0 at least. There are stories of men in my family fighting for Marc Antony. In later years, they became tailors, which explains my last name, which is the Italian word for "clip".

They lived in Italy until the 40's, where they did the same thing as my mom's family - emigrated piece by piece until an entire family was here. They've been living here ever since.

My Ancestory:

My Mother: My grandmother is Italian... they lived in Italy during most of World War II (in which my great-grand-father fought and died for Rome in...). After the death of my great-grandfather and the capture of southern Italy by the Allies she fled to America but not before meeting an Irish pilot named Edward Lawless. After the war my grandmom and grandfather were married and had 7 children... my mother being the middle child.

My Father: (This is the Interesting one) My grandfather was German... we have been able to trace his family lineage back to the family of the German Emperor Barbarosa... He served in World War I under Kaiser Wilhelm and later in World War II under Rommel before he defected to the Americans... in the 1950s he met my grandmother (the daughter of an irish farmer) and they married and had my father and my two aunts.

On October 23rd, 1980 Anne Lawless married Richard Merritt and 8 years later i was born... Matthew Richard Merritt I, esquire...

I don't have any famous people in my family, all i do know is that on my mothers side, my Great-Great Grandfather was a Armourer to the Tudor family.
On my father side, one or more of his ancestors was a Samurai to the Toyotomi Clan, which was later wiped out by the Shogun Ieyasu in 1615.
Obviously some survived, and they must of got the hint because they all decided to stay as civilians after that.

I think I have a relatively high amount of Native American in me. I haven't traced it, but my mom (Central Mexican) is probably mestizo (Spanish + N.A. blood). The dominating indian civilization in central Mexico was....

The Aztecs.

However (and a bit unfortunately) I probably have much more Spanish in me, as my dad's side is from Cuba but criolllo (people of Spanish descent born in the colonies.)

So I am part Aztec warrior, I hope.

Excuse the flagrant use of Spanish, I don't know their equivalents in English.

I also show more native physical features than the average person (my nutcase friend knows all the 'Aryan' classification thingies). According to him, at least, I am very white for a Hispanic.

My mothers side's got nothing. However, my dad is a blend of a LOT of the Angriest people on the planet.

Scottish Lineage dating back to MacLeod(McCloud). Ring a bell? It should. Im 'da fuckin' Highlander, Baby.

Got some Greek blood in there, probably one or two good sword-swingers way back in the family tree.

Native American, dont know much of what went on there.

German. Figures. I get the pale skin and the blonde hair, and my brother is Dark skinned and Black Haired. Im the *****, hes the Mexican, and I make no joke - People have inquired as to what part of mexico/cuba he's from. He also lives in Calif. Most californian people suck a whoooole lot. So that makes sense.(note to californians: I have nothing against you personally, just a Vendetta against your entire state. It sucks.)

All I know is that from my dad's side of the family (which is Chinese), my great-great-great-grandfather (or so) was the man who started to Opium Wars (http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/heroin/opiwar1.htm) in China. I'm probably related to some obscure Chinese emperors, but so is everyone with Chinese ancestory.

your friend is retarded. someone who is hispanic can be of any race. they don't have to necessarily be non-white. If he knew anything of what the "Aryan's" believe, then he would know that they don't classify hispanics in one group. They also realize that hispanics can be of any racde white, blck, ect.

One of my Mom's cousins actually traced the family tree as far back as possible for his final project in college (tracing family trees is what he does). He had it traced all the way back to one of the King Louis' if I remember correctly. My Grandmother has this gigantic book that documents the whole thing. Personally I think it's pretty funny because once you go that far back probably just about everybody in the world can make some sort of connection like that but most likely would never be fortunate enough to have somebody with the ability do the tracing for them.
My Grandfather on my father's side came over from Ireland as a baby. He actually ran cattle across Arizona as a young man and used to point out places where things used to exist for me when we travelled. Now he's buried in the cemetary that he and his brothers built the wall around when they were younger men, it's a pioneer cemetary which people are only allowed to be buried in if they had helped settle some of the old Arizona towns. As far as I know, all of the massive acres of ranch land which my family used to hold has been sold off to developers. All of my hardass cowboy relatives have passed away and been replaced by suburban pasty geeks like myself.
