With all the new additions and focus being put into new vehicle variants I have a cool idea for a vehicle.
Take the loadstar and make a variant that can land and deploy a cloak bubble becomming a vehicle pad!!!
It would not be able to spawn all the vehicles that a base would be able to, but smaller attack vehicles such as the reaver, mosquito, lightning and ATV's.
So in a sense it would just spawn 1 piloted vehicles so as not to totally disrupt the balance of the game.

YAY! More reavers in the sky. Just what we need. :/

So a flying brick has no problem spawning an advanced vehicle that usually requires an entire base to make.

breaking the pant theme we have going- bad idea. This is like saying- here is a loaded vehicle pad next to this AMS. All the CR5s come OS us!

Yeah, Im not sure that being able to deploy reavers would be a good idea. Maybe just some of the light vehicles that dont require a tech plant.

PS.... where do those things come from? I mean, you just click something, and they come out of the ground... the weird thing is, there is a basement.... It must be the keebler elves, maybe the umpa lumpas....

Keebler.....In a sense the CR-5 do that anyhow. When you are at a base the V pad gets OSed and AMS's get OSed all the time...
As far as the More Reavers comment.... that would not be the case. If you want to use a reaver all you must do is spawn at a base and fly to the battle. These portable Vpads will help assist in the initial continent assault when you do not own a base.
And the fact that it will be vunerable to OS and other assault vehicles when located would keep the balance of the game from shifting from its introduction.
I didnt make this post for you all to FLAME THE HELL out of it!!! So far none of your comments really seem like inteligent feedback to a pretty good idea IMO.
Just a bunch of flame so far.....sorry if that hurts your feelers.

None of us have flamed you. Flaming you would be calling you name's, or something of the sort. What I posted is simply my sarcastic way of saying "I'm sorry, I don't believe this idea would work".

That post took a while to type? What are you doing, banging your head against the keyboard? Oh wait, that would make sense: It would explain both your typing speed and the intelligence of your posts!

no air, because planetside already has way too may air units. How about something that can spawn Lightningings, Light Buggies, ATV's and if created from a dropship center that has a vehicle mod. Router and Switchblade (router is fine because it doesnt increase the horde it just moves them).

Having a lack of available vehicle pads on an initial assault encourages smarter play (as in, play to preserve your vehicle), emphasizes support certs like advanced hacking and bolsters defense. Your air pad idea would shake up these solid gameplay elements.

I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it would take something away from the need to have bases, ie the ability to create vehicles. But it'd also allow for so many tactical options, especially if you've lost your last base on a continent.
So, if it does go in I think it should be light ground vehicles only but I wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't go in.

I like this idea, but yeah, only non-tech light vehicles.

Dont give it a cloak...but give it a spawn...
useful visible base spawn > an invisible hunk of lag
If it must have a cloak, make that version cost 6 cert points...
