Face of Mankind is an MMORPG set in the 24th century. You are invited to play out the ageless battle of good and evil, and witness all shades of grey in between. Role playing and your real life skills are the raw ingredients of game play.
This MMORPG uses the first ever player generated mission system, and combines it with sophisticated economics. Only your ability to shoot, bargain, politic and otherwise duck and deal will make the difference! The success of each and every mission will determine your rise to the top, or otherwise. Whatever path you take in this astonishing world, plan well: one day, one minute or a single second could bring you to your destiny as the true Face of Mankind.

Yeah, I have been following it for a while. More of an RPG type then Planetside.
I look at it and I look into it, and I am not sure it will make it. Just my opinion, though.

Signed up for the beta. Looks much like Neocron, which was a great concept just executed poorly.
Hopefully this will work out.

Not an attempt to derail, just wanted to add this game. Still prebeta, but it's the MMOG that has the most potential in my mind at this point. They have a great chance of mixing roleplaying with the action of a game like Planetside, and it's being published by NCSoft who I have a lot more faith in after the CoH launch than anybody else developing these things.
Very Mad Max looking.

I (hopefully) envision a game with Fallout type RPG elements along with Interstate '76 type auto combat. Maybe I'm just deluding myself.

Id like to see what they come up with to make that game seem diverse. vehicle combat will get boring eventually. I pity anyone who gets more then a 3 month subscription to that.

Agreed, but NC Soft seems to be publishing the odd MMO titles, the non-true RPG type.
CoH for example, its more of a 3rd person MMO action game with RPG elements ya know?
And this autoassualt, isn't NCSoft going to publish it? Anotehr non-standard RPG...
Kinda cool.
