This should make whiners stop whining. I dont like the idea of incremental patches, if you have features for a future release make it part of that release because if this patch screws up everything at least sony wont have to potentially do it twice. This is primarilly a balance patch, I personally think this could have waited a few days or a week, until the Full 2.8 could be released.

Why would it make me stop whining?
Everyone not NC, and some that are, agree that the thunderer is to powerfull. So instead of decreasing it's power they decrease it's splash. Oh yeah, that impresses me.
Virtually everyone in the game thinks the Aurora is a joke. So instead of increasing it's power, they give us more ammo we won't get to use because we are already dead. Oh, and I shouldn't forget the 'buff' to AA damage, because we all know lobbing a water ballon at a moving aircraft will somehow hit often enough for that to matter.

I personally think that they took a step, no matter how much of a tiny one, in the right direction. Having the Thunderers' splash damage reduced will seriously help us infantry; no more mile-wide insta-fucking-gibs.

3 m is not very wide, and you have to get a direct hit to instagib (or land it within .25 or so Meters) Its not that easy to hit stuff with that vech especialy at full speed, when your trying to doge other stuff.
I do think a small toneing down of AV damage could be in order, it does take down tanks a bit fast, though part of that is i'm always selective about only hitting tanks that have no MG gunner and are not shooting at me already because that spells dead

3 meters is about 10 feet. That's a long way to get heavily damaged

Yes. 3m is a big circle of damage.
AV by default is a highly concentrated area of damage, to defeat armour.
While AI should have a very large area explosion, to maximized the spread of anti-personanel debris
With this thinking in mind, the Thunderer area blast should fall well within or less of 1m, when it comes to that, i won't have a complain if you get hit directly would result in an instant-gib.
well....maybe not.... :p

I'm pissed they got Rid of Large, Huge, Massive. I preffered it over the current system, why not fix/tinker with the shit that needs "fixing and tinkering"
