# Data tracking is being implemented to begin the tracking process for Merit Commendations. With the first update, no awards will be available, though the data will be tracked to count toward the first round of commendations when they are released. The shoulder pad will be implemented and the Meritorious Service (one year of playing) commendation will be available.
Thank god, now I feel like all the kills I am getting are counting for something that is not also easily attainable by spawncamping.
# The Map screen will now feature an overlay grid, dividing the map into sectors that can be easily identified and communicated. A soldier's grid location will be shown in the proximity radar. each squad member's grid loc will be displayed in the squad display beneath their name (so, you see squad member number, name, health, armor, and Grid Loc for each squad/platoon member)
Been a long time coming, I only worry about it being used for cross-empire AMS grief. (/t <other empire cr5> nc ams is at <xx,yy> )
# Players will be able to toggle their LFS flag to turn off be off when they first log into the game.
YES!!!! every time I log in at sanc it seems like I always have to click no to a random invite and then turn off my lfs... EVERY GODDAMN TIME!!!
# A new feature is being implemented called Proximity Squad formation. This feature will simplify the squad formation process by sending an invite to un-squadded players with the LFS flag on within a certain radius of the player who initiates the command.
I sense more f-tarded cr5s who get it by zerging into every soi they see and picking up all the randoms to get 3-4.5k with doing absolutely nothing
# Players will have the ability to spawn multiple chat windows, where they can send different channels to. For example, a player could create a new window that all broadcast chat would be sent to.
I am glad, seperate all the /c junk into another pile while the important stuff is not spammed off in the squad/plat/outfit box
# There will now be 8 banks of 8 shortcut keys. CTRL+F1 through CTRL+F8 will switch between them (where F1 represents shortcut bank one, F2 represents bank two and so on). You can also use "+" or "-" to switch between the next or previous shortcut bank, respectively.
I have way more than 8 shortcuts I would want to have. I am stuck with exactly 8, having /who vs/nc/tr/teams all on macro with implants and medkits taking up other 4. It will be nice to have other options.
Enemies spotted by yourself will properly appear on your radar. Previously, they would only show up on your squadmates' radar (or not at all if you were not in a squad).
I don't use audio amp, and it really ticks me off when enemies should be on my prox map despite not having audio, but they don't.
Looks like a good patch, buff/nerf/new crap patches are always stressful with all the poons bitching about something. (OMG N3rf TEH R4D4R...) Its nice to see a patch that just improves gameplay. Hopefully those improvements to help lower-spec systems don't screw with my setup.

I dont know what exactly i would use the spliting chat for
The main use for me will be to have global chat in it's own window, which will be shoved as far off my screen as I can get it.

Yeah that's the sorta idea, you can stick important stuff like squad chat or outfit chat in it's own window, away from all other spam :D

Yep, here's how my chat channel configurations are going to look:
Channel #1 (More important):
Squad Chat
Platoon Chat
Outfit Chat
Channel #2 (Sometimes important, mostly spam):
Broadcast Chat
Local Chat
Global Chat
How are yours going to look?
