for all of us who hog enemy weapons all the time this may give those who feel sceptical about it a little more incentive to do it
this is just a stupid little idea that i had when i was rippin a corpse off of its mini chaingun and saw a cycler as well
when you take an enemy weapon and bring it back to base and to a equipment terminal you can have the choice to stick it in your locker for persdonal use at later times or you can go the the equipment terminal and sell it for a little BEP
this would only be accountable for ENEMY EMPIRE SPECIFIC weapons so u cant sit there at the equipment terminal selling countless numbers of Amps and Suppressors or whatever weapons you empire has unique to it
i was thinking about:
10 BEP for a Pistol (Mag-Scatter, Beamer or Repeater)
20 BEP for a Medium Assault weapon (Gauss, Pulsar or Cycler)
40 BEP for Anti-Vehicular (Phoenix, Lancer or Striker)
50 BEP for Heavy Assault (Jack Hammer, Lasher or Mini-Chaingun)

No.

You want enemy weapons you should have to pry them out of a dead opponant's hand. None of this sale malarky.

well yeah u would have to pry them out of the enemies hands
im not saying that ppl can go on and grab the weapons u stole after collectintg the BEP
maybe the xp could be lower

also keep in mind it took me about 30 seconds to come up with this so its obviously not the best idea

sorry. This isn't a RPG

If it was, how come i can't have construction skills to make a customised Empire specific weapon with modular attachment and get BEP for it?

Well there are already weapons sales, and you can't really stop them I suppose. But giving people BEP for doing it, it's just not in the best interests of the game.

Get rid of lockers and see how long trading lasts...

Not very long, but lockers are great for when your base gets hacked, the gen goes down or you want to store AT weaponary, all important and legitimate uses for lockers.

Unfortunatly the only way to remove weapons sales completely would be to disallow dropping of weapons and removing the ability to loot backpacks.

Bullshit.

Anyone who equates XP and leveling with RPG is a fucktard with no imagination. Playing a Role has zero to do with level grinds. You could call PS an RPG, but with only the soldier role to play it kinda gets redundant...

Planetside is a MMOFPS with RPG elements (ie certfications) to increase longetivity. It is not an MMORPG.

The original concept was for planetside to be a MMOFPSRPG.

Sploogey,

It is a fair idea, but I could only see it becoming a problem to us.
