View Full Version : Shields around spawn tubes

What do you think, small invincible (until gen or spawns go down (shoot at the tube or around it to destroy it) ) shields that protect you when you spawn so spawn camping wont work?
The main problem is you don�t have any time to think, and as for me, the game loads but not the screen (sound but no pic, still the loading pic) in time, so I find my self-dead as the screen loads.
But this shield idea would protect you until you move out of the spawn tube, give you time to load up and think what to do.
What do you think?

To be honest, unless you prevent enemy troops from entering the spawn rooms all together it won't make much difference.

This would work, to a certain extent, such as the lone Scattercannon camping a tower.
If you could decon without leaving the tube, it would really work :p.

If I remember correctly, Smokejumper was talking about making Spawn Tubers invulerable until they left the tube so you could decide to rush the room after enough people built up, or deconstruct.
I would imagine if they did this you'd still be able to take out the tube itself, though.

U would die before you could do anything usefull tho, trying to get to the equip term

Yer, but it could help, so you can see what you are heading into.
For me, if there is someone spawn camping, i die before the screen loads
but with the sheilds, you can see and think what to do
but yer, you would die when you step out of the tube.
but atleast you have a chance

Well if you die you have the same choices as if you deconstructed... so I'm still not convinced it's worth it.... although it does deny spawn campers the chance to make stupid kill ratios.
