A Battlefront demo, but released the same day as Battlefront? Um, hello? Marketing guys?

Yeah because we all know you can only buy the game for one day, when it is released. When that one day is over all copies are burned and it is erased from the history books.
Anyways, its about time. Starwars on dvd finally.

That's not the point even a little bit. Normally a demo is released a few weeks in advance to help stoke interest in a game and get people to anticipate the game. Releasing a demo the same day that the game is released will be all but pointless for a great many people who will probably be picking up both packages the same day.
Also, these DVDs are the Special Editions because Lucas is holding out and saying the original versions will never become available again. I'm willing to bet they become available when sales on this one die down.

I like the special edition... the minor graphical changes make it more pleasing to the eye...

Yes but the problem is, the movies are being released on a fixed date. They will not change them for game advertising. Yet the game companies want good exposure to their product. So they most likely released the demo in some other way before this, they are getting alot of exposure with this dvd. They are still going to get alot of interest. You don't need everyone to buy your game on the first day to make money.

The Jabba scene in A New Hope is awful (and pandering to the drooling Boba Fett fans). Greedo firing first is absolutely unforgiveable. Most of the rest I either like or don't feel strongly about, but I'd still prefer to be given the option to watch them in the original formats (as if that's out of the realm of possibility on DVD).

I understand wholey... I have the originals on VHS Casette (ugh...) and the Special Edition as well... they did mess a few things up when they went back and made the optimizations...

The only thing that bother me about the Special Edition: Greedo firing first and the Jabba palace scene had better music in the original
