Problem: I downloaded PS from FilePlanet and everything is good except I can't get into the virtual reality. Is this because i don't have the CD's? Is there some way to download the ability to get on the VR (so i can pharm myself to level 4)?

Question: I switched from VS to TR because I absolutely hate the lasher. It's inefective at medium-long range, and at close range the MCG and JH beat it hands down. Can someone tell me how using the MCG works? I've seen people run and gun with it and get kills, does it really throw out that many bullets?

[EDIT] Oh, and i got another question. I liked the Lancer because it was an insta hit and the Reavers/Mosquitoes didn't get any pre-warning. So I usually get 3 shots in before they start moving.

How long does it take to get a missle lock w the striker? Once you fire, how fast does the missle go? I dont want to get it if every time I lock onto a Mosquitoe, he just turns and runs and i waste a missle.

ok

1)Practice. MCG spits out rounds pretty fast but controlling the CoF requires practice. Up close it doesn't really matter.

2)Missile lock with the striker is instant, as is losing the lock. The missiles will catch anything that hasn't hit its afterburners or isn't cruising on the ceiling.

The Lasher is a pretty good weapon. Since it fires slow moving orbs, its "lash" ability compensates for it. Aim at the enemies feet, no matter what range your at, if you hit them, good, if you miss; you'll definatly lash that bastard.

MCG? My favourite weapon in-game. (Being TR And All.) TR Specialise in Rapid fire, hence its clipsize being 100, and it spits those bullets out very fast. Make sure you're up close if you want a chance in defeating any other HA Infantry. It sprays, and alot of the bullets can miss easily.

Yes the Stiker has just recently had its lock on ability fixed, it now locks on instantly, but hold that lock on because like Lartnev said - It locks OFF instantly. A small group of you could easy rip down any Air Vehicles that oppose you.

TeN00b's Condensed Guide to the use of the Mini-Chaingun:

#1: Understand that, if you merely spray and pray, your COF will be bigger than Oprah's gut. In fact, the optimization of the MCG's COF is a game of precise numbers; after you fire off five rounds, your COF will start to bloom massively. Thus, if you fire five rounds, wait for the barrel to spin down, then fire five more, your COF should stay fairly small.

#2: When faced with a Jackhammer, for the love of God, do not charge him. However, I prefer not to retreat as well, at least not directly. What you should do is fall back diagonally, in a sort of retreating strafing, by holding down S and A/D while firing. Use the five round burst technique to keep him at a distance, 'cause if he get too close, you'll chew him apart like Al Roker on a donut.

#3: When faced with a Lasher, my preferred strategy is to just laugh, as long as you're outdoors. Dodge around, squeezing off three-round-bursts, and you should take less than 20 damage. Indoors, zig-zag towards him, almost holding down the mouse, and try to make him waste his clip, which is 1/4 of yours. When he stops to reload, charge straight and plug him full of lead.

#4: The MCG is the only Heavy Assault weapon that can be used successfully against Medium-sized Ass. Often, you'll end up using the MCG much like you could a 'Cong Gauss Rifle, squeezing off short bursts and crouching behind cover if they try to spam you.

It's always been instalock, only difference now is that if you have friendlies nearby they won't interfere with your lock on like before when you couldn't lock onto things that should have been bread and butter lock ons (like 2 feet away).

Reread anything you've said that compares a weapon to a person.

And the MCG depends really on your aim/connection speed. JH always kill me no matter what, and thats usualy cause i got a delay on my connection.

Shoot from afar with short bursts, dont come too close unless inside a hall(unless its a guy in a JH, i'd run) run to the guy and keep ahold of that trigger.
