The Designers are currently in discussions regarding the state of balance on some systems. These include the following:

Empire Incentives: Adjustments to the values and types of Empire incentives given out for population imbalance, as well as looking into issues that may cause the code to grant rewards improperly.

MAX balance: You already know that we are planning to adjust the MAX's armor class to make it a more potent defense against the Decimator. In addition, we will be looking at the damage output of each MAX, as well as other properties that influence its effectiveness, such as range, projectile speed and accuracy.

Multi-crew vehicle balance: By this we refer to the comparison of vehicle that require more than a driver and single gunner to be effective, such as the Prowler.

TR max buffs + merit commedation medal MAX enhancements (can't wait to see what their are but smoke himself said they would be to enhance them!) = happy. when I get my max upgrade medal im gonna have it as one of the 3 medals on your shoulder, I want my enimey to know what their up against and to fear TR MAXes once again.

The upgrade to the prowler is good too. If the 2nd gunner seat is upgraded nicely we should see a lot more TR roll armor hopefully. I wonder if this means the marauder is gonna be looked at as well. I feel proud that ive stayed with TR threw is hard times and now things are looking up!

I think that who they should really help is the TR's maxes. Just because they suck. (Or that just may be my opinion since i play as them all the time.)

but anyway... i just am soo tempted to go and play NC or VS because oh how buff they are.

I think that who they should really help is the TR's maxes. Just because they suck. (Or that just may be my opinion since i play as them all the time.)

Another good thing about MAX's getting their own armor class is that AVMAXes can be balanced to be effective against vehicles without making them too godly against other MAXes. AVMAXes should be just as effective or a little bit more (since their stuck in that one role) then the empire AV and now it can be done without hurting MAXes themselfves.

Meh, discussions are just that; discussions. Until I see the actual patch, or at the very least an In Development release, I shalt not be convinced. BTW, am I the only one who thinks that Spork is actually on our side, but Smoke is a rabid NC?

Devs have put some good stuff out there but, i wouldn't hope on it coming out anytime soon. Everything is on the back burner except Merit's and Battle Islands!

Spork put up a list of their prioritys that said the balanceing was above everything else.

As long as they don't nerf scatmax, all is good, buff the tr. The minute my scatmax is touched, someones gonna die.

Nerfing the ScatterMAX would be stupid; i.e., not beyond the Devs. The smart thing to do, however, would be to bring the Quasar and Dual-Cycler up to the ScatterMAX's level.

Balancing will come after 2.8.

Neither the DC nor the Quasar should be able to directly compete with the scattercannon at point blank. But they should definately even out when it comes to the distance of a flight of stairs.

Here is the order:

MAX adjustments (as well as some other balance adjustments)
Data tracking begins for Merit Commendations
Battle Islands
Some other stuff in between
Phantasm (out in the future. it is in early development phases right now)
The updates begin in early July, but I don't really have timeframes at the moment.

On the ask the devs chat they mentioned that only the TR AI/AA maxes would get touched and that AVMAXes of all three empires would be improved so I dont think the scatter is getting buffed or nerfed.

Well the word was attention, that could be a synonym for improvement.

Until they post the changelist we don't know. Not that the scattercannon needs buffing :P

Id just like the DC to get buffed up to the damage per shot of the quasar. They already have the same rate of fire when the DC isnt locked down. They would be on even ground then when both of them arent using their speacal abilities the way it should be.

They did say the DC was prolly the only AI max being touched so I can honestly hope for this much at least, I would prefer it to do at least 1 more dmg per shot above the quasar making the DC do 18 dmg since the quasar has AP mode to combat other MAXes with and make it on par with 9mm rounds fired from an actual cycler which is 18 dmg before degragation *with this a DC would be 100% equal to a normal cycler when unlocked and slightly *0.006 faster rof* above a MCG when locked down*.

They already said their making the burster to hit libs at celing height and that the ALL the AVMAXes *all empires* are getting buffed to be "potent" weaponry against vehicles now that they can balance their weapons against MAX and vehicles seperately *imagines a groupd of locked down pounders actually giving vehicles trouble at choke points*.

Heres a hint to MAXes that fear the phoenix after deci nerf. A MAX using personal shield takes 4 phoenixes to destroy rather then three. This should give you the time you need to take the weilder down since they have to have a 3.5 second reload every time they fire one shot.

I also cant wait to see how the merit medals enhance MAXes which will make them even more potent after they get their fixes. I hope the devs get this right cause I so do want my TR MAXes, I use to love them so.

fixed it sorry. My years of gaming without always using teamspeak have left me with a 150 + wpm typing speed and I forget to remember english class sometimes heh. So much so that I prefer to and get my message out clearer when I type instead of speaking.
