The next Sturmgrenadier film will be out soon, but in the meantime the filmmakers have been authorized to release a trailer of their work.

BS. You guys don't film, you record digital information that you guys didn't even make. Don't try to lie to me.

Regardless of how you characterize it, the trailer is available. :)
Unlike the previous "film", this one is more like Miir's effort in Shadows of Auraxis - by which I mean a much more story-driven "recording".
Release = "when we're done".

ME love you long time. Yes we used Planetside as a base for a collection of videos we digital copied in real-time. With both the love in our hearts for the game and also the joy of letting you enjoy it. So please enjoy this illegal art work I and Pympicus have produced using someone elses game work.

Damn right. Although it's not illegal because you're not selling it, or using it to advertise a product. However, it might be illegal because you're advertising SG and you have to pay to be in that, so, it might.

Sturm is not a commercial venture, but rather just a club. We all pay our $1 a month for the infrastructure, and it works for us. The movie isn't solely intended to bring in more people - my experience has been that while people may be impressed with the level of work and organization we put into this, they can make good judgments about where they want to be in-game. We can no more "advertise" than any other gaming group in that respect.
I'd rather not get into the legal issues, as I fear that discussion would be too much and not easily resolvable without a couple of JDs in here.
I consider this line of discussion closed.

Filmed with FRAPS, filled with lag. Trailers are supposed to get people hyped about a movie. This, to me, looks like an average day on Emerald. Lots and lots of NC everywhere.

I like the old one more then this preview.
Looks nice can't wait for the movie especially since I really like the first SG movie. And that looks like the old strong SG now I don't see more than 15 or so guys on in SG.
