Erm... you dont needa pay... I use free version... theres a little add at the top... so what... its organized and easy to use...

I'm using Opera. It's free to download, and the only thing the $30 does it get rid of a small banner in the top right of the window. Other than that it seems to work quite nicely. Beautiful interface, tabbed browsing, stable, quick, customizable search bars, automatic password filing, in-browser mail client, the ability to save sessions of windows.

I got Opera for free.
And then I deleted it and burned my HD

But avant makes you pay for their auto password thing, and re-arranges the order of your tabbed windows.

I don't use the auto password feature, so I can't comment on that. However, the tabbed windows have never given me problems and have never re-arranged themselves on me.

2. Show you this - A .png file using alpha transparency, it's a gradient that goes from orange to transparent

Derfud, you can go into options and change that re-ordering.

I think it only does it "automatically" when it shuts down improperly.

i was an avant guy until a couple days ago.

avant < firefox.

i won't remove avant entirely, but ff is definitely my default and got the spot on my quicklaunch.

Edit: I'm just wondering, because when I tried FF, it would omit pictures from websites at random, and I couldn't cut and paste anything. It was like a broken IE.

IE has a big loophole read the article on it it's in the thread about the loophole I'm too laxy to go and get the link and Avant Browser is also affected since it is just IE heavily modded. I know use Opera and the only thing I don't like about it so far is that you can't us gmail becuase it doesn't have ActiveX so I have to use Avant Browser to check my e-mail but, other than that it's great.

Today, I switch.

After much deliberation and consideration of IE's new security weaknesses, I have decided to abandon Avant and try out FireFox. I keep getting 404'd for web pages like Google, and frankly, it's freaking me out.
