A survey conducted by ICM has found changes in the behavioral pattern of men who now prefer the metrosexual image to the macho man idol.
That is bull, I have only VERY rarely heard of that kind of guy in my area.
The survey found that men today are more likely to cry than get into a fight, says a new study.
Ugh. No man should cry, except under very extreme occurances. Basically, if someone you knew VERY closely died, or left you. And I'd say most guys will get into more fights than they will cry in their adult lives.
According to the survey, they are also happy to talk openly about their feelings, buy beauty products and even have a manicure or take Botox injections to slow down aging.
The only time you should talk seriously about how you feel is with a girlfriend and maybe your parents, and keep that to a minimum. And no freakin beauty products, please. Hair gel at the very most. No lipstick or makeup, no crap like that.
"It's an unwritten rule that men hug each other (No they don't. The closest thing to that is like greeting friends, that's like a big handshake, more than a hug. There's no attraction related to that.), weep openly and tell each other everything with the only proviso that women must never find out," (Still, not true. If you start crying, it should be by yourself, or with a girlfriend of at least a year, preferrably more.) Researcher Bill Borrows was quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"The reason is simple. Women prefer bastards. I am one of the 10 per cent who admits to having a manicure. I enjoyed it," he added. (What a pussy.) (ANI)
This better have been taken in a vastly gay community, you can bet I won't turn out like that, the guys I know won't turn out like that, and my children won't turn out like that.

All of my usual crazy article sources were dried up, so I had to go to Free Republic. It's all there was, honest. I went to the general area and found that near the top.

I say, male or female - cry, get manicures, do whatever the hell you want to do, just don't hurt anyone else or leave things crappier than they were before you got there.
I've never been a big fan of gender stereotypes - "men aren't supposed to cry" or "women aren't supposed to be engineers". It's 2004. Do whatever you want!

Crying is a signficantly more appealling option to me then fixing holes in the wall and replacing broken furniture, which is my other vent in those sorts of situations.
I agree with you on most of the other stuff though, emotions are something to be kept to yourself imho, but you still need to understand them and have a (preferably private) vent for them.

Indeed, and while you may say "Sputty must be a fucking pussy"
I've cried once in the last 5 years for my poor doggy
I miss her

Metrosexuality is on it's way out. It was adopted by too many people as a "get cool, quick" type of thing.
Everyone from image designers to plumbers were trying to pull off the whole metrosexual thing. It fucking imploded.
Thank god.
I couldn't imagine doing a 10th of what they do. I have hair all over my body. Takes close to an hour for the fiance just to do "down there". Waxing my whole body? I'd die.

Sputty, I said in my post that pets are perfectly acceptable to cry over, especially if you cared about them a lot. So you can go right ahead with that.
