Any Airsoft Players?

I just got into Airsoft my Springer came in today.

Going to a skirmish with a huge field next week. So any PSU people play Airsoft? Ive been messing with it all day and one of my freinds has a springer pistol and I keep owning him its fun. Probably be getting an AEG some time in the future and those just plain l337.

What make, what gun, How much?

I'm saving up to start up myself, gonna get me a nice MP5 and a browning hipo/sig p226 and grab some UK camo for outdoors and SAS smock (uncles got the right gasmask, he said he'd send it to me) for CQB, theres a CQB venue near me too :)

its a UHC MP5 SD3, very good springer.

dont under estimate this springer, its the best for the buck and fires at a higher FPS than some AEGs. I also bought a few other things like a scott mask, some gloves and a tactical vest.

Ill be hiding in the fort and in the woods from a distance, which is good for support fire. Alot of the guys where I play use even for matches.Review of the UHC MP5 SD3 (http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/Reviews/mp5sd3.htm)

$50, its great got nice accuracy and alot of the guys ive talked to still use this. Pistols are back up weapons. I didnt see any pistols that had the range or Feet Per second of the UHC MP5.

Hipo at the bottom, two MP5 SD's and a Makarov PM up the top. Looks pretty nice to me, Bio! I have a really nice BB gun pistol, cost about �60 and can smash CD's to bits in one shot.

It depends, they dont hurt though. The BBs are 6mm and are plastic then bigger than a regular bb. They arent designed to break skin and its alot of fun. It hurts ALOT less than Paintball. In Skirmishes the absolute and rarest thing that could happen is a small welt from people who play professionally. But thats unlikely and most places only allow certain weights and have strict regulations.

DONT buy any Airsoft off of Ebay.

Airsoft is much cheaper than paintball, Aztec if you already have the gear then Id recommend my springer to see if you like it. AEGs run from about $200-300 though if your serious about airsoft.

not really. Ive seen airsoft guns go for $2000+. it is fun though because it doesnt make a mess. I cant find V-balls (little velcro things you can use in paintball guns) so I may go with airsoft.

Have a stockless SPAS 12 from RedWolf (http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Category?menu1=3). It's very nice, uses mock shells that hold 30 each and fires 3 at a time.

Also have a GBB DEagle from KWC.

Depends on the rules of the owner where you play at. Around here its 400fps, well if managed to get it up to 700 fps MASSIVE modifications then im sure its probably .12s. Even with that the .20s would at least go 600fps.

Stock PSG-1s suck, once you get all the proper modifcations to make it the badass rifle its supposed to be its easily twice the price of the stock weapon. Super 9s is a springer rifle that Ive heard is much better if your low on cash.

iknow this, my little brother got a G3 with a fixed stock, a scope and laser pointer thingy. Its battery operated so it can shoot really fast. He also got it modified so parts of it is metallic and weighs a ton, and its more powerful he says.

Its got like a 500 round magazine and when you shoot it at concrete walls at say...oh....20 metres away? the plastic bullets just shatter against it.

I dunno about you, but i don't think i'll like to be hit with that.

Indeed... the only paintball I've ever taken that has even slightly bothered me was the the back of the head at close range...

Our game had just started, there were five of us on the team... so 2 could go to the crouch positions up front while 3 stay at the standups in back. Me and some new player go to one of the sides, I slide in behind the crouch thing and he's behind the stand up. My god he was a tard if i've ever known one, I have absolutley no cover except for a 3ft by 3ft board in front of me and HE's worried about getting hit from behind the standup. He doesn't even bother looking at where he's shooting, just sticks his gun out and shoots... 3 to the head for me...

It depends on the setup of course but on average it hurts less than paintball.

700 FPS is for snipers since what we have for a terrain is a wooded area and plains with trenches.

Sniper's have to be at least 100 meters away I think... or else they can't shoot (they need to take their sidearm or another rifle)

I think total he spent well over 4000 to 5000$ on it. I have no idea what mods are on it but 500 fps + on foxden is for snipers max being 750.

I think he use .12 I'm not sure... would have to contact him...

Well if you have a airsoft rifle that shoots 700FPS your already a manic, I didnt need you to tell me that :p

If people take it seriously they usually dont lie about it, some immature players will but if you take the game seriously and then you will have enough respect not to lie.

Ok, I'm about to make a presentation to my mom to convince her to buy it for me. I'm getting everything I need, FAMAS, Glock Pistol, Laser Sight for the pistol, Tactical Vest, BBs, gas for the pistol (it has blowback), bbloader, and a spare mag for the rifle. $400

I've gotten shot with a paintball close to point blank, ie. with in 2 feet. True, it's only 290 FPS and the balls (yes. balls, more than one hopfuly not more than 3) break on impact but getting bunkered as it's called in paintball sucks. But it's fun as hell if you're doing the bunkering to someone else. :D

Damn Spider, I've never heard if a 700fps sniper rifle... you sure he's not BSing you? Oh and every sniper I know uses at least .25g's, no less. Some crazy ass guys use like .40g. Never heard of a .12 bein' shot out of that nice of a gun... plus it would drop before it got with a safe range. You know what kind of scope he's got on it?

Oh, Diviant, where are you buying all your stuff from? Did you find like a secret shop or something or do you just know the right people? Is it a G17 or G26, or what? Make sure it's got a rail for the laser (I'm sure you've got that down). If you really want to get into the sport, you're gonna want more mags later on... are yours standard, hi-cap, mid-cap, etc.? Oh and try red gas sometime... It's more expensive, but it's so wicked... makes for fun like pranks or long-range skirmishes. And start lookin' at scopes now if you think you're gonna want one... they make it a lot more accurate than iron sights, but you wanna get your iron sighted just in case. And stress the point to your mom that it's a tactical serious sport, and there's lots of safety precautions taken ;) . Good luck.
