Is it just me, or did every single television station in the nation change it's lineup on some shows on Monday?

TV sucks anyway. Only good thing on is History Channel, CSPAN(1+2), and sometimes Fox News.
To be honest, other than history channel - i don't think i've watched TV for close to a year. You should try it.
[Disclaimer]: These views are my own opinions on TV, and only TV. This is not to say that people who watch TV are losers, idiots, morons, asshats, or similar nouns. This disclaimer was brought to you by TAF (Tek's Against Flaming). Thank you.

There are only a couple shows I like, and they are drama's.

I let my moniter fry my brain cells... only shows I watch on TV are Stargate: SG1, Star Trek (TNG and Enterprise), and a few shows on history channel. Will probably watch Stargate: Atlantis as well when that starts...

TV is good when you've had a brain-frying day of class, work, flight, more work and you're bored with the intarweb and just want to zone out for a bit.
Like last night, I zombied out in front of the television. I was watching the Discovery Channel - that show Mythbusters is God's apology for war and strife - and there was this show where they constructed a robot of a grizzly bear, with jaws and claws that recreated the pressure exerted by a real bear. It was awesome.
So yeah, I don't watch television very much at all - probably just one/two hours a week, and it's only when my brain can't handle any more reading or learning or working.

 ....I discovered that last summer while coming across the curiously titled "Planet of the Playmates"
the only thing that matters in the TV industry to me is that Family Guy is coming back next spring, and Im gonna have 22 more episodes to memorize.

Oh, TV does not rot your mind, not if you watch anything worth watching.

I spend time watching television, and yet I read on average of 3 books a week.
Oh, and I go to class, and work, and fly, and have studying and homework that needs doing.
Time management's a lovely thing, eh.

I love programs on space... and other educational programs. I don't know why. News just aggrevates me. Most of the time i leave the TV on all the time and never watch it..like now.

Ok, i'll drop the "I read more than all of you!" bait and continue with the discussion. Don't need Triggar and Oni starting a cry fest on me just for responding to an idiotic post.
Best advice you can get is to find ONE author you enjoy reading, then go on the internet and type in his name. You'll find fan club websites that contain other authors that are good. I've found at least half a dozen good authors this way.
Spending a half a day at a bookstore browsing through back covers is another good way, but i'm sure your too busy watching TV for that. ;)

I don't really watch much TV. The only programs I really watch are Stargate and The Simpsons.
Sky only shows re-runs of both atm, so that sucks abit.

Stargate is ok, if your dieing of boredom. I just wish they'd bring back Sliders.

MythBusters on the Discovery Channel (I think) is kick-ass. They tested out the idea of using a bullet as a fuse in your car, and shot up their dummy. They also shot a hole through a pressurized aircraft cabin to see if it would rapidly decompress and suck everything out - it didn't - but then they blew a hole in the airplane to MAKE it rapidly decompress.
That show pwns.
