I guess the Daily News sent them a cheeky bottle of champagne or something with a note that said something like "Congratulations on your 'exclusive'!!! Have a nice day."
or something.
The next day, the Post printed a correct front page that said "KERRY'S CHOICE: Dem picks Edwards as VP candidate (REALLY)." to make fun of themselves.

Awww....
Everyone makes mistakes, but this is so excessively jacked up and erroneous that there's really no excuse.

Nah, Kerry needed Edwards. I'll be the first to admit that Kerry isn't great with large groups of people, and Kerry needs the charm that Edwards provides him. In a way, barring the evilness of the latter duo, Kerry/Edwards is like Bush/Cheney, only reversed.

Kerry/Edwards is Bush/Cheney reversed? So by that logic Kerry can die at any time due to heart problems and Edwards doesn't know basic grammar...

 . What I meant was that Kerry provides a bit more brains than Edwards, and much more political savvy, but Edwards is a very charming guy, which will make it easy for him to fulfill the traditional vice presidential role of countering the other party's attacks.
