That's a while out.
Early word from Smokejumper is that one new facility style is going to be disbursed buildings without walls.

Does this mean bases will now mean camps?
Tbh they've been hinting at it for a long time, ever since the rumours of changing the data structures to allow small filesize patches to change the map features.

Smoke said they were reducing the damage degredation.
Perhaps they'll make it less powerful per shot than the guass in the process :)

Seems SmokeJumper's gone crazy and is spamming answers left right and center on the weekly devs thread starting on page 5. To summarise what he has said:
Pulsar will now be slightly better at extreme range than the guass or cycler. This makes it better at point blank and extreme ranges, whilst the other two are better in between
Galaxy is getting an improvement to the RoF of its guns. This is because not all guns can be brought to bare on an attacking aircraft and will now "have some teeth" in the words of SmokeJumper.
Prowler will have its 12mm chainguns replaced by 15mm chainguns
MAX balancing will be posted in a new thread by Sporkfire. This is because SmokeJumper believes it is going to be a BIG thread. All MAXs will see improvements, but especially the TR MAX units.
AND MAAAAAX!

the gauss gun ought to be better at long distances, and ought to be extremly acurate until the recoil kicks in...

Who says it isn't more accurate?

Still nothing about the studder issues. Disgraceful.

I think one of the other devs has pointed out that they're continuing to work on the stuttering issues and should have more improvements ready for 2.9.
Tbh since the patch I've stuttered a lot less than before. It's still there, but it's no where near what it used to be :)

I got the studder for about five minutes yesterday. then my computer decided it had enough and kicked into overdrive. It was amazing. I went from my average of 40fps with a studder of 5fps to 120fps and a studder of 60fps...
I'm hoping my computer doesn't blow up...
