Ill be trying it, it may be good after all and I reserve judgement on MMORPGs until I have actually played them. If you want to download then here is a link:
http://everquest.station.sony.com/trilogy/download.jsp
It also comes with the first two expansions.

They do this every time they bring out a new expansion (this time it's Omens of War).
Although the Velious and Kurnark expansions is slightly novel.

I hated SWG, how many more times to I have to try an MMORPG to get in in my head: I hate them.

Untill you stop saying this every single time anyone mentions anything that you dont absolutely love and charish?!
And havent we already established that SWG is crap? I played eq for a while, and even I think that SWG is a royal POS.

Ive heard so many bad and good things about Evercrack, I tried SWG the grind in leveling is terrible the devs are just now starting to get it right.
Everquest is a blast if you get in with cool people. I played it since beta. I quit because the high end game gets boring unless you have 50 or so people to raid with.
The low/mid game is a riot.

EQ...is like....EQ...relatively close to DAOC in some aspects, except if focuses on PvE.
I used to love EQ. EQ was awesome. Unfortunatly, my ass got addicted, and my mom said I was never allowed to play it again.
Play EQ with caution. I dont care what you said, I had awesome times, I never got up high due to my identity crisis, but I always enjoyed my lvl 40 bard :)

SWG sucks.
MMORPG's can seriously own, don't just give up on them, just wait and see.
