i got 12 bruise's and got shot in the nuts *long range luckly* there to.. still stung like a son of a bitch, i am goin back to play next weekend i got an Orion paintball gun/marker

I get bruises sometimes. Depends on each person. I bruise easy. Heh I remember one time I was playing in the woods. I was hiding behind a plywood board that we had set up for a weak bunker sort of thing. My friend comes running up the hill and I started firing at him. So he runs back the other way and I popped him right in the back of the head.

That hurts at close range... not really as much at far range... how close were you to him?

An Orion is a gun made by Viewloader I believe. My cousin had one when he was getting into paintball also. Never been shot in the nuts, but got one in the Adams apple once.
When you have been playing for a while you end up not getting hit as much(well duh) because you know how to play tight and get bounces etc.

I got shot in the back of the knee by a friendly once from about 5 feet away. It was like 3�F outside (winter paintball at a camp, hehehe wicked fun) and it was her first time playing. She had really bad aim. But boy, that hurt wicked bad. The close range and the cold=ouchage. It's funny though, she now plays every weekend and is one of teh best shots I know.

O man I bunkered my friend last weekend. he has a big bruise on the back of his neck. it was really funny though, because the bruise was bleeding for like 20 minutes. It must've hurt.

all the talk of paintball makes me want to go play this weekend... but I gots no moneys for paint... :( All the places near me require that I use field paint... and normally I buy a case of the stuff and will go though that fast...

ugh... I hate when they make you use field paint. I went to this awesome woods field in connecticut and they overcharged the field paint like 2x over.

I went out to a field this past weekend and I cam away with 4 bruises. (I don't bruise very easily)
After the first game I played:
My roomate got shot in the hand and it drew blood.
There was a guy on my team that got shot and it put a hole in his T-shirt. (for a while we were wondeing if somone on the other team was firing somehting other than paint)
The ref's said that someone got shot from atleast 50 feet and it drew blood.
After that round, the refs chronoed everyones guns and over 1/3 of the people had their guns fireing too fast (over the field limit of 280 fps).
So yes, it is easy to get bruises when you are out tossing paint. (especially when people have their markers firing such fast balls)

Hah i bet paintballing's fun and all, but if you want to really use tactics and skills, try airsoft... and not just the lil springers that everyone calls airsoft guns... i mean real airsofting :D

Joe. Speed ball takes a lot of skill and tactics. It's like a large game of chess on crack. All about angles. :)

I got shot in the forehead right above where my mask ended within the first 5 seconds of my first game of paintball ever.
I had a huge lump for a week.
That was no good.

Member of team A runs up to the bunker of member of team B sneaks around it and shoot him. It's useally very close i.e. with in 5 feet.

Yeah, the guy took a bouncer off the beanie and I came into checking and heard tup tup tup tup tup, look across the field and his partner went down, and looked back and saw him and he shot me I ran away and he shot the guy in the bunker and swept the field. Also got shot in the nuts sunday too. Instantly fell and had the crowd laughing at my pain the whole game.

If you can't get it from the pics. Bunkering is a move where you get in close proximity to the opponent and blast him with 5-6 shots. Unless you hate the other team you give him an extra ball or two, and I have seen it.

Dude, always wear a cup if you're Ref'n. Hell even if it's hot out wear a sweat shirt or something. :)

It was the only time I didn't bring my reffing towel out. I didn't bring it because they were already doing the 10 second countdown and ran to the field and forgot it.

Make sure they break. Nothing worse than shooting 2-3 balls and have 2 miss and 1 bounce. I know how that is. Now I just blast them. In national tournaments. No one cares about you.

Indeed... sucks to not have the balls break...well when your shooting them atleast :D
If I'm not mistaken, anything over 3 shot bursts is considered over shooting in tourny play.
(edit: when bunkering that is. I might be wrong on this. Don't hold me to it. :) )
On an other note, I think I might buy this shirt. I seem to know a lot of people like this in forums and real life.

Hahaha how true that is. They took the over shooting rule out now. Guns shoot way to fast nowadays it's hard not to light the person up.

when i played my first round at the field i got shoot in the uper right part of my helmet i had yellow paint on myhair and some in my eye it burned like hell

Wait till you get some in the mouth. It tastes like soap. I've ate my far share of paint. :) I have light blonde hair, so if I get hit in the head enough, my hair starts to chage color with the paint. It's fun to walk in a gas stations after a day of playing and getting those looks. :lol:

Heh... yea i've tasted my fair share of paint too... it doesn't taste the best... only problem i'm ever had with funny looks was when I walked into my friend's house wearing a shirt dyed pink from paint...
