View Full Version : Good idea for a game #2

I'm imagining a game here, a game where the world has basically turned completely corporate. The businesses divide areas into their territories. Small companies get tiny, relatively uninhabited rural areas, while the corporations control portions of large cities. People within the district vote on the company president, and are all employed by the company, unproductive workers are forced to go work for the tiny, POS companies. The corporations all maintain their own armies, intelligence divisions, etc. You play an agent in training to work for a company of your choice. Each one concerns itself with different things, and its missions reflect that. Which company you join partly determines what you do. If you join a PMC, your game largely consists of security jobs or fighting another company's resource war. If you join a company that is in rabid competition with another, you may be able to take jobs robbing or hacking into their banks to deplete their funds. If you join a job for a tiny company, you may be grunt labor, and work your way into building a major corporation. You know, stuff like that.
Naturally it'd be a massive game, but it'd be 1337. What do you guys think?

You missed the memo that didn't go out on these boards, didn't you? I found out it was a temp ban, I don't protest-leave for temp bans.

Sounds like a few other games. For example Armored Core. You fight for companies and do their missions. Granted, you're in a badass mech, but still... Its been done before.
Well what type of game is it? An RTS, FPS, RPG? It needs more work, and there are already some games out there with a plot like that.

You know what?? An Armored Core MMO type game would rock!
