I built a new system.

Asus P4P800 D
P4 2.8
2 sticks of 512MB PC3200

That's the new stuff, I used my old 120 gig hdd and my old ATI 9800 pro.

I put everything together and it worked GREAT! Played some PS and got great FPSs. Same goes for BF:V. But there was one device I didn't install the driver for cause I didn't know what it was. I searched Asus' site and they said the driver was on the CD. I installed the driver then the problems started.

Everything is slow. Can't play BF:V or PS. I get a error when I try to load the game.

Edit: I've tryed uninstalling what I think it is from the Device Manager. It doesn't ask to reboot, but when I did reboot, cause it was still slow, Windows XP pro finds it and installs it automaticly.

Do you know what the driver was for now?

Here, this is the instructions I found and followed. And the Q on the page hit my problem right on the head. Then slowed my computer down to a crawl. http://www.asus.com.tw/support/faq/qanda.aspx?KB_ID=85017

Try the first one.

dscytherulez: Its a chipset driver issue.

Well that one locked up my computer. When I rebooted, the Windows XP screen that says something like "Please wait while Windows loads your settings" starts up then just sits there. I'm in Safe mode right now. I think I might just reformat. Hell I did it just yesterday why not tonight too.
