I wanna see it, I like msot of his movie's cause they all take place in area's I know about (signs was somewhere in PA, Sixth Sense was right here in Philly)... but are the people in this one amish? That would make sense since 'the mark' is red and the amish people have this thign against red...

Looks like an interesting movie. I hope it makes a little more sence than Signs did though(still a good movie).

Maybe I read too much into things, but I couldn't quite figure out the Alien's motivation for comeing to earth. It wasn't for slaves, because they killed anyone they caught. It couldn't have been for food because they die to water, and humans are mostly made of watet. It couldn't have been for conquest because most of the earth is covered in water, and it raints too damn much. I did happen to like the religeos references, though, even if I'm not christian myself. They added a lot to the movie.
If you can clear this up for me, I would apreciated it.

I think it was your average, run of the mill, obliteration of the human race type thing...

uhhh, signs wasnt about WHY the aliens came to earth, the movie wasnt even that big on the aliens, i found that it was more psycological than what was really there... in the whole movie, you rarely saw the aliens, maybe thats why it was called SIGNS and not ALIENS, the movie showed more evidence on what could be there and not what was there
here are several signs from the movie signs that could point to a possibility of aliens
1-The Dog that turned on the children
2-The sound of a dog dieing towards the end kind of points to something
3-The crop circles
4-The figures runing on the roofs
5-many more, i havent seen the movie in a while

Erm... he severed the fingers of an alien with a knife, people in Brazil got one of the aliens on videotape, at the end of the movie you actually see an alien (the same one that had its fingers severed) try to kill the son...

yes, but those events took very little time in the movie... most of the movie you just saw CLUES like crop circles, dead dog etc... Most of the movie wasnt spent examing the aliens, or why the aliens were there

Actually the last one was important... ebcuse its like it fulfilled the wife's prophesy for the brother person to 'swing free' or whatever the exact wording was...

The reason for the aliens coming to earth appeared to be the adbuction of humans. If I remember correctly many humans were captured by the aliens.

The trailers confuse. First thing I thought of when I saw the doors was "wts? angel of death?"
Eh, I dunno, ill probubly pass.

It's 1890's Pennsylvania. Theyre not against red, and theyre not Amish (As indicated by Jaoquin Phoenix's BRIGHT YELLOW cloak), And they dont like Red, 'cause it brings mayhem and destruction and general unhappiness from the woods.

Pennsylvannia gets all the whacos... Amish, MOVE, Satanist cults, Me, The Phillies, John Street, Ivan... can't wait till I move...
EDIT: BUT WAIT THERES MORE: Allen Iverson, Ed Rendell, Cyrus-, a load of hicks, towns with names such as 'Bird in Hand' 'Blueball' 'Paradise' and 'Intercourse' (its even stranger the way they are set up) Going from philly westward it goes Blueball->Bird-in-hand->Intercourse->Paradise... for such modest people the amaish sure do choose weird names for their towns...
