I dunno about England but in America when something stabs himself in the finger with a nail and says, "I like it when the red water comes out" and finds touching rust an orgasmic pleasure we consider that pretty messed up. Of course the Green salad guy did seem to come off English so perhaps his habits are pretty common over there.
