$20 to subscribe for a magazine is too much for me :(

Ok i'm going to say this because it bothers me on a couple levels.

Just go to Borders or Barnes and Nobles and sit down in a comfy chair and read the whole thing.
I can pick through any magazine and find anything relevant in 30 minutes tops. Everything else in the magazine is *** since you can find it on the net.

k i'm going to say this because it bothers me on a couple levels.
Why should i have to subscribe to a magazine for info about features for a game i fucking ALREADY SUBSCRIBE to.Because the magazines want money, and the game wants publicity so it gets new subscribers and doesn't die. The mags doesn't GET money if they've already told everyone who gives a damn, and the game doesn't get publicity if the mag doesn't think there is any money in printing it.
Like Writhe said, just go down to a book store once a month and browse the gaming mags, maybe buy a book or two (because books = win) and have a snack.

you don't have to subscribe to get the info you just have to wait longer than the subscribers do to recieve the information. and it's not like the entire article hasn't already been posted so quit your bitchin'

You'd think that such a website would be closed down due to legal reasons.

your would also think that programs like napster, Kazaa, E-mule, ETC. would be closed down.

It's not as easy to regulate P2P.

Well technically Napster was :)
And they're not websites, they're P2P programs marketted for legal uses and then abused. In effect it is not the program breaking the law but the users. Such a website however, would clearly be the source illegal material.

Because it was made for legal use.. the programmers and publishers are not at fault... how people use it is illegal, the government has to go after the people that use it illegally since in effect the developer is doing NOTHING wrong...

Dont mean 2 be naggy, but give me an example on how it could be used legally, PLZ.

Sharing freeware and Opensource. Sharing music/software that people have recorded/programmed by themselves and want to share. Stuff like that.
I think napster did a thing where you paid them, then they paid royalties to music companies for the sharing. Hence making it sorta legal by agreement.
