as you know, we're getting a cat.

i wanted to name it reaver at first, but i've had time to talk to trig and others about it as well as reflect and write about it myself. i've come up with a name that i think is perfect.

i'm polling for approval of ***1087;***1103;***1090;***1100;; it's pronounced (roughly) "pyat."

so, PSU, you helped trig convince me to get the cat... now help me convince trig to name it.

you can figure out what the name means on your own, but i'll tell you about the language:
trig and i, correct or not, consider ourselves mildly world-cultured; we both love foreign languages and countries as much as our own.
we hope spend some time in italy, germany, norway, and england in the future.
we both thought it would be pretty cool to name the cat something in german, which elicited my suggestion of "L�ftL�we," but that was put aside. MVTek reminded me of a cat name i came up with a while back which i absolutely love, but i wanted to put an "us" twist on it, to make it uniquely triggar and myself.
so logically i started sifting through foreign languages, and i came up with this. i'm pretty really happy with it, and actually can't wait til she wakes up to tell her. it's like christmas... i hope. it won't be if she doesn't like it.

Welcome to PSU Isis-Pyat!

...and those that think that Pyat is a wierd name, when I was young we had a cat named Pu-wah (its actually French for "stinky" but I don't know the proper spelling). Seems that cat was a little slow on learning how to use the litter box as a kitten or some such. Awesome cat he was too. Anyhow, Pyat isnt a long stretch at all.

And talking about goddesses, my stepmom has 2 cats, Cleopatra (Cleo for short) and Athena. They are sisters, we got them from the animal shelter, they were found as newly-born kittens ducktaped into a cardboard box on the side of the highway :( Anyhow they now live over at her house and are the friendliest cats I know.

She is very much going to be an indoor cat. We live in Florida, so letting her outside exposes her to mutant insects, feral cats, and a generally increased risk of contracting a virus or an infection from something.

My kitten is too perfect for that :p

one of my cats looks alot like Isis-pyat and shes an indoors kinda cat too. she just hangs out on the patio every now and then. my other 2 cats are hunters, they go out for days at a time and return with a few more corpses of any animal lower in the food chain. one time they brought home a bat.

My cat alley (pictured in previous page) is a huge brat. if she doesnt get toys, she'll try to beat up her older brother and sister. and when she does get a new toy, she'll play with it for a couple days, and then forget about it. she has a little bed with a pile of toys on it in the basement.

I would so love to have a cat iv alwas loved em but they hate me along with all other furry animals. upon reading that for the first time, i thought at first that you were referring to "cat iv," who might perhaps be ***1087;***1103;***1090;***1100;'s predecessor, and that confused me.

at this point ***1087;***1103;***1090;***1100; is planning on staying home for psuma, so only squeeky and CDL are going to get to meet her in person.
