I know that hundreds of people post similar posts, but ill post my own.
I stopped playing PS at around the time the whole capitol thing was being started, it was about that patch that I stopped playing. Im thinking of coming back and I want to know what has changed, is there any resemblance to the magical thing called balance, how is lag? and also has there been another char wipe? or do I still have my character on markov? How do the new vehicles work? is CC worth anything yet? ( i have it, just wasnt worth it at the time) Enlighten me!!!! Ive missed my massive battles, do they still happen where a few hundred would fight over a base for a couple of hrs? are the cr5's still morons? How is my precious TR doing? do we stand a chance vrs the noobhammers and nooblashers? Im dying to know!

I just got back into the game yesterday. Theres a new balance patch out today on test that really helps out the TR and VS and brings them up to par with the NC.
A few new stuff has been added in too. Like empire specific Deliverers and awards and medals.
There's been no character wipe. So your guy should still be around.
Plus theres the new continents and BFR's coming out later this summer. Should be fun!

The balance of the game is still hideous. HAs are the vast bulk of an infantryman's arsenal. Tanks are what counts on the ground, though in some situations the other vehicles are alright, but for the most part they're the "while I'm waiting for my tank timer to go away" vehicles, or they're niche things, like the Skyguard. Reavers are still the kill-anything-not-flying vehicle, and are naturally the most popular vehicle in the game due to how easy it is to just fly them around and spam rockets for kills. Bombers flying at the flight ceiling is still in, so they can still bomb with relative impunity against things like Burster MAXs or Strikers.
So all in all the game is still pretty badly balanced. Many weapons are extremely niche or just not very useful at all compared to HA. Most of the vehicles have no use execpt for odd ones like the Skyguard or Thunderer, the majority having no defined role and thus being grossly overshadowed by tanks, which have the defined role of killing absolutely everything that can't fly. And so on. If you've got a good outfit to go to, do it, because a good outfit can make it all fun. If you have no outfit, find one. If you want to play solo, go play Day of Defeat or something.

Warborn makes some good points though. Sadly more players equip HA over MA. Why? Because its easier to kill other players with. Same goes for the reaver. Infantry and ground vehicles are notihng but moving targets for them. Again, making it popular because it's easy to kill other players with.
Sad how people choose not to challenge themselves in this game. :/
