They don't call 'em "pineapple grenades" for nothing.

Seriously. That's what they called the old ww2-erra grenades with the scoring on the outside.

Modern ones have big coils of pre-scored wire inside them... LOTS of little fragments.

That is a certifiable correct spelling of the word grenade.
