Hello, I just put PlanetSide on order which should be arriving tomorrow (hopefully)!

I have a few questions concerning PlanetSide. Please don't flame me. :(

- How many people approx. are logged into PlanetSide on the daily hours.
- Are gamecards available from the UK?
- How much RAM does PlanetSide use?
- Which server is most populated and what empire is in need of players?
- If I don't have access to Core Combat weapons can I expect to get owned?
- Would you say PlanetSide is more popular in 2004 then it was in 2003?

Also, I was unable to post on the official PlanetSide forums. Everytime I tried to login it would just reload the login page. Is there any reason for this?

Thats about it, thank you for your time. :)

Well, at prime time on Emerald, there are usually two pop locked continents per empire, and sometime's, a third pop-locked continent. A pop lock is 166 players to an empire, so I'd estimate about 1000 - 1500 players combined of all three empires logged on during prime time, on Emerald.

I believe so, don't quote me on this, though.

I would recommend playing this game with at least 768 MB of RAM. (Don't listen to the system req's, that's for playing a slide show). Memory usage I believe is somewhere in the neighborhood of 500,000 k.

I'm pretty sure Emerald (US East) is most populated, followed by Wener (Europe), and in last, Markov (US West). I don't know which empire is in need, though.

Probably the Maelstrom the most. The Maelstrom is a grenade launcher/short range flamethrower type of deally, in which the grenades do a lot of damage and can hit targets in a small radius of the impact area. Oh, and the flail, which is an artillery piece.

I'm... not really sure.

yah Emerald is the most populated and at prime times id say ur best team to go on that needs help is VS or TR though VS been doing very well lately
NC only does real good when there is no one on the other teams :P
thats y they always got 60-90% bases owned when everyone in the US is asleep thouugh ive seen then get to 80% more than a few times at prime times

omg poor u
512 mb ram only like US$75 (that is 400 megahertz PC3200 DDR CL 3.0 and not 2.5 which is hell of alot faster, think faster as in like USB 1.0 compared to USB 2)

RAM-wise I'm playing on 512MB SDRAM (not sure of speed... frankly I don't care to know...) but after the most recent fixes I've been able to play with little or no lag at all (suprising!)

Gamecards are unreliable, but if they are in the UK, they should be in most any place that sells video games...maybe...

If it comes down to it you can order them online I think, should be a link from the main sight.

As for the forum, you have the have an active account to post.

Why do you consider them as unreliable? Is there something I should know? :|

Because they arent always shipped, so while there may be plenty one month, the next there could be none.
