I was wandering around the web, and found this Top 500 Supercomputers (http://www.top500.org/list/2004/06/) list.

I always thought Super computers had really fast processors, but they don't. They use thousands of slow cheesy processors. Example: The #4 computer on the list uses 8,192 500MHz PowerPC 440 processors, WTF.

Btw, my dad is working on 10,000 processor supercumputer for NASA. Thats 10,000 2Ghz processors. This thing is going to have 500 fucking teribytes of memory. Not hard drive space, memory. I shit you not. Ill bet that could top the earth simulator in Japan.
