Right, after the cyrus thread, and my tendencies to make a pillock of myself, I have decided to create the PSU karaoke competition!

The rules are simple -

Get a song, sing along to it.

You may record the music yourself if you wish (IE, if you wanted to do a punk version of a pop song for instance).

The competition will run until the 15th of next month, in which songs will be judged based on Technicality - IE - How hard the song is to sing.

Special awards will be given for -

Unusualness (IE - Why the fuck would someone sing along to patsy cline)
Originality - This award will be given to original covers of songs.
Comedy - Whoever makes the judges laugh the most.

Judges have yet to be decided, so if you want to judge, send me a forum or IRC pm. (5 judges needed)

There's lots of songs out there that have easy to remember lyrics! Tequila, Meow Mix theme, Oscar Mayer Weiner song, etc., etc.

I could probably sing the lyrics to the original Star Trek easily because they never sang them so nobody knows them....

My band does this "for a living". You might want to include something about "If you do this professionally, you're DQ'd" so assholes like me don't smear the competition with a punk version of "Friends In Low Places", rocking the Sid Vicious sneer.

Okay, first a lil disclaimer thing. Me and Frag did this all by ourselves - the music, everything. Its a cover of the way under-famous Ash song, called Kung Fu! (http://www.ego-chimp.com/uploads/ash.mp3). Now, we both fucked up on occaisions, but live with it. These also arent the right drum patterns, cause i suck at drums. Bite me. Finally, i sound american cause i pronounced the words like he does [e.g., pronouncing Taiwain as 'Tai-Wann', not 'Tai-warn']. Again, bite me.
