I have not been able to find any bands that I like. I do know a few things about my musical prefrances though. could you guys match me up with some good bands? I really like the music from the menu of BF: V. I know that is Jefferson airplane and I am looking up some of there songs now. I like cool instramental music more then vocal music. What bands might I like?

Edit: Ok, apparently the song from BF:V I like is called white rabbit by jefferson airplane. I like the opening, but as soon as that lady starts singing the song sucks lol.

Edit2: If you havent heard that guitar solo I am talking about, listen here (http://www.speakeasy.org/~pj99/Jefferson%20Airplane%20-%20White%20Rabbitt.mp3).

Another song that I like is bad meets evil be eminem. Eminem's rapping is annoying but the guitar in the background owns hardcore. I hosted it here (http://www.speakeasy.org/~pj99/19%20Bad%20Meets%20Evil.wma). The guitar I am talking about is after the annoying intro thing.

Well, try Air out for size. They generally have lyrics in thier songs, but theyre basic and not really clashing with the nice, laidback music that accompanys it. Some f the more hardcore amongst us may say that they hate loungy French disco-pop, but they are ****.

Apocalyptica, especially the song "Nothing Else Matters". Helsinki for teh win!

Also, old-school Radiohead (i.e. around "The Bends") might satisfy you. Certainly "Kid A" and "Amnesiac" might as well, but they take a few listens through to appreciate.

I would definately have to agree. Excellent 'chill out' music, if that's what you're looking for.

OK Computer is certainly another good Radiohead album to take a listen to.

You talk about liking instrumental more than vocal, but what style really? Harder, softer? Mellow? What are we talking about?

TMBG is the win.

OK, some other bands that I like:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs: art-punk, nevermind how MTV thinks this band is its Hipster bastard child, they really are great.

The Notwist: German alt with some nice electronic effects mixed in, try out "Solitaire" if you want some drums to get your shoulders moving.

Rilo Kiley: Basically any sone that I have heard by them I have gotten stuck in my head, not to mention the fact that the lead singer sounds like she's 10, which is a very awesome thing for a band to have.

Modest Mouse: Also being adopted by MTV and some rock radio stations as "that cool band", these guys have been around for about 14 years. Theri lead singer once went into the woods and did LSD for 3 months. Fucking deck.

Tricky: Brtish trip-hop artist with some very catchy tunes, most of them either very tame or incredibly sexual. Also look for callaborations he has done with Portishead and Massive Attack.

Franz Ferdinand: See Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Modest Mouse for the MTV complaint. "Take Me Out" is ill.

Xiu Xiu: What happens when you take a nervous, schitzo, and bisexual wreck of a lead singer with some really disorganized and awesome dark synthesized effects? Answer: The audio equivelant of doing PCP and staring at TV static with a blind smile on your face.

This fantastically indie music update brought to you by my need for musical elitism.

Listen to the two songs I posted and you tell me. Probably harder though.. but not hard as in guy with nose piercing and tatoos all over his body beating on a guitar with one hand and making cool jestures with the other. Thats probably to hard.
