I saw it a few days ago and really liked it. It fullfilled my main requirement for liking a movie (that a five year old couldn't handle the situation better then a main character) and the action scenes were good.

Yea definatly better than the first, thats something you cant say often about movies.

I like how it's sort of "real" in a way. He doesn't drag out fights. He uses what ever he can to help it fight whether its a Bic Pen in the first one or a rolled up magazine in the second one. It's not that macho man let's put down our weapons and fist fight for 15 mins now crap most Hollywood movies are filled with. He does what ever he can to end the fight as quickly as possible. Car chases are fast, realistic and no lame ass explosions everywhere. I love how he always looked at maps! I hate how movies always have the character seem to know every back road and ally in a city they've never been to.

Yea thats a good point, a movie char that is actually semi-human. He even gets hurt in fights!

I'm kind of hoping they make a third one now. But the thing is I don't want them to kill a good thing they have. :ugh:

*Possible Spoilers*

I wouldn't know where they could take it now though. I mean he does now know his real name. Maybe the CIA could still be after him to bring him back in the fold. Or that Russian guy... yeah he didn't die. They just arrested him. Maybe he could come after Bourne still. I don't know. :ugh:

Theres a third book, my monies on them keeping a good thing going and making a third movie.

Actaully, I thought the cinematography of the second film was lousy and distracting. Fight scenes, though interesting, were especially poorly shot. Overall the film was ok, but certainly not better than the original.

You're right they did do that whole "shaky camera" thing during one of the fights. I think they do that so you cant see how bad the actors are fake fighting. I saw something in the behind the scenes of the first one's DVD where the Director or some guy said they try to use the actors for fight and actions scenes as much as possible because it's too easy to tell it's not them. So they might have been trying to keep it clear enough to see it was Matt Damon fighting but shaky enough to not see the poor fake fighting. :)

At best this movie was blah IMHO

The fights in the first were the same level of realistic, but didn't give you otion sickness watching them! The car chases were also not as good, and the plot was weaker then a mixxed drink at a strip club

All in all I'll give it a 6 outa 10

Personaly I thought I Robot was more fun to watch, and more satisfying in the ennd when it came to action.

Just me!

I definitely want to see this; all my friends who have watched it already have nothing but praise for it, with the possible exception of Marcus (who sat in the very first row so the camera could make him even sicker).

Ill probably go see the movie sometime next week. From what ive seen in the trailers and heard from people they have really cool custom weapons with mixed parts of different guns like a G3 with a stock of a PSG-1 Sniper Rifle they look really cool.

I liked it but in the trailer it said "One of the Most Intense Car chases ever seen in film." I was pretty disappointed when I saw it.

Wow alot of people I talked to share the same opinion as me:

Not as good as the first. Hell, not even close.

I don't really know what it was. Maybe it was the shaky and crazy camera movements in fight scenes, transforming the scene in to a blur. The car chases were nothing special. There was no depth. Bup, 7/10.

I just watched Chronicles Of Riddick, and wow, that's a piece of fuckin work. I highly reccommend it. I'm looking for Pitch Black right because I loved it so much.

Okay, if you liked Chronicles of Riddick, then I don't trust you with movie reviews :p

I didn't think Chronicles was good at all. Quick summer flick, nothing special in the least.

I would not call it the most intense, however it was def one of the best I have seen in a while.

Camera angles dont kill a movie for me, its about the story and the depth. How can a camera movement kill a movie?

Spoilers.

Didn't like it as much as I liked the first, I agree that the shakey-cam thing was super annoying. I didn't like the girl dying. But still really good.

Yep, because I can get shot through the shoulder and then have a 15 minute car chase.

Hamma

They never really show it through the shoulder, besides that matter. He was a trained killing machine, he was trained in interrogation who knows what kind of pain he could stand :p

I know a 'nam vet that was shot through the left thy and was able to still run. He said he felt it go through, hit the dirt, got back up and kept running. Said he didn't feel pain till about an half hour to hour later when the fire fight stopped.

So who knows maybe he could drive a car with a shoulder wound.

Oh and the trailer for this movie said something like the car chase is better than Ronin's. That was a lie. But it was a good one.

The books are as good as the movies, but have almost NOTHING in common. If you liked the movies, definately go get the books because they really won't spoil anything for you.

Very good books. Did you know that the first one was printed in 1975? I figured they were new releases.
