Why has no one posted this yet?

I just read in the paper that Service Pack 2 for winXP will be released "in the next few days" free download. Apparently it's huge, and fixes a ton of security shit.

I also heard that it's essentially like a brand new operating system. Not sure if that's good or not.

The article I read didn't say much about it. The UI gets only "very minor changes", but who knows what they've done to the guts.

avoid service packs until at least a month after they are released. so many bugs are in SPs... let MS work them out first

I need to uninstall my theme's xp file because things could be potentially screwed up but ill take Stry's advice.
