Planetside freezes!

So I play and I keep getting a freeze from planetside. I can get the game to run again by hitting ctrl-alt-del or minimizing it but it can be quite deadly (slamed into the water in my mossie) and REALLY fucking annoying. I noticed that this only started after this patch... there has been no new changes to my hardware settings or configuration beyond the addition of a microphone to TS. However I was running TS before the freezes started. I also did a full scan to try to cure the problem.

Any ideas?
