Well...I went ahead and downloaded the free trial. Figured since I'm thinking that I might get EQII when it hits (some friends are planning to play), I may as well go ahead and try the original and get aquainted with it.

I think I'll stick to Planetside...I really did not like the game very much. So far the only RPG I've really liked on the comp...wasn't even on the comp...but PS2...Kingdom Hearts. Big fan of the old D&D scene, so why didn't I like EverQuest? Then I realized Kingdom Hearts may be an RPG, but still has the look and feel of FPS. Then I took a look at all my PS2 video games and what did I discover? Ace Combat 4, Medal of Honor, SSX, etc. Only one RPG, Kingdom Hearts. Thinking back to the paper, pencil and miniature's for RPG's, I realized I always liked the hack and slash portion and hated the puzzles.

Yeah your probally saying "and..so?" But it was an ephifany for me and I had to share it. I got some good news, I just saved a bunch of money by NOT switching to RPG.

I may still check out EQ2, but I'll demo it when a friend buys his, and then decide.

I was thinking about getting World of Warcraft because basically, Blizzard knows games. I started looking through the different movies and info about EQII and was like, omfg wow. I see some of the things on the new site for this game that are just unbelieveable.
I will now most likely be playing EQII but i will still try out both of them just incase i don't want EQII and I like WoW better.

That is a fantastic movie. Sure wish the game could look that good............doubt it. I will be playing though, played EQ for a year sporadically, only got my warrior and shammy to 54 though . WOW sure looks good and might even be superior, but my heart will be with EQ. BTW, does anyone know(since i never tried WOW) is it first or third person? I hate third person.

Played EQ for what must be going on 2 years now, but if you don't like RPGs, you probably won't like MMORPGs.
