When you drive in a harasser or any buggy part of the vehicle always interfears with your view. There is an obstruction. Why then in all other vehicles does this not apply? I propose that all vehicles have limited views. The bigger the vehicle the more limited view.
Reavers should have a cockpit that limits your view down affecting your ability to hit infantry and such. Tanks should have a MAJOR limiting in their view. Think about how much of a viewing area a guy in a tank has. A heavy tank shouldnt beable to see everything around it and a guy in a cockpit shouldnt see whats below him.

most people drive in third person, so only aircraft would make a difference.
But I like driving my Enforcer in first person heh.

whoa GTO havent seen you around in a while...
but yea I like this idea. make tank drivers forced to a view similar to bf1942.

Exactly. This would make a tank exactly what it is supposed to be. And a driver with TS can eliminate the problem quickly.

What about the Tank gunners? should they get a boxed in view, too?
And I drive my Prowlers in first person....with a macro that warns others away:
"MOVE, BITCH! GET OUT THE WAY! GET OUT THE WAY, BITCH! GET OUT THE WAY!'
:D
and what about Lightnings?
SIDE NOTE: I hacked a Magrider at a bridge battle once and got like 20+ kills in it before people started realising that it WASN'T friendly fire......

I think this is a good idea.
Some people have a problem with driving in first person though...or so they claim. Something about visuals.
Also, I think that the guns on tanks should be changed a bit. Make the turrets track much slower, but increase their destructive power...
Maybe even make the Mag rail an instagib on infantry.

It took a reaver a mag and four infantry spamming me to get me down, and i STILL took out the 4 infantry.....

Basicly I was thinking this change to majorly affect the gunners. Not drivers.

If I didn't have 3rd person view while driving I wouldn't be able to see how much air I catch off hills. In first person it always looks like you're hugging the ground, in 3rd person it looks like you're flying off hills.

I think (even though Peace's idea was just for Gunners) that doing this to a Tank driver wouldn't be wise:
What about in forest-y areas? Every three seconds a tank would thwack into an indestructable tree, and then have to switch to reverse, then go forward again, by which time (if this is during a proper firefight) they'd be dead.

Then they can learn the dimensions of their tanks, or just stay out of forests.

I have to drive my Prowler in third person... its easier for me to judge the tank's position against those trees that lightning just went into or easier to know that "Oh if I turn here I'm gonna be fucked by that friendly in my blindspot."

Yes. This idea applys MOSTLY to gunners. Its designed to limit the amount of fire power they can spread out by limiting the number of targets they can see.
