I think that the camera shake test was all misleading. I think the shake is specifically designed for this event, even though they may use it later on as well. I think Auraxis will become unstable, forcing the empires to salvage the continents off of the face of the planet. Oshur will split apart before the salvage begins, it may be the first sign of what is happening on Auraxis. If we're lucky, we'll be able to see the ships which are transporting the continents over the weekend. Perhaps they'll throw us some curves while the continents (free of the planet's surface) are travelling through space. Very little gravity? The danger of literally falling off of the edge of a continent and being sucked into the vacuum of space? Eventually the continents will be placed on their individual planets and normal game play will resume.

predictions for how its going to happen?

Because the devs said that the 'final event' will be witnessed by everyone no matter the timezone or when they first log on, I predict that the final event will be the video they took. Meteors, earthquakes, and atmospheric disturbances will occur over the weekend prior to the video, which will be a narration of sorts, explaning what's happeneing. That's my thought anyway.

nope, i read it in the dev tracker, go on the Test server with a new char, and go the the continents, they have new first time on the cont messages there.

The TR/VS/NC High Commands have each posted on the forums now, with their own views on the upcoming events. It sounds as if you'll have to go to the Core to see the first events as they're stating that the beams have become unstable. The NC message is the best, complete disinformation.

The timing of the final events sounds as if it's not relevant, since everybody will see the final event the first time they log on after it happens. I'm thinking the final event won't happen until after they bring the servers back up.

I haven't been online to see them yet, but a friend sent me some FRAPS. Holy crap, the meteors look amazing.

Edit: Okay, I'm trying to host the 2 videos, they're small and low quality but it doesn't much matter. You get the point. I have no idea if this will work or not, just activated my webspace to see if I could host it.
