I'm not a technical person myself, but I know that to play Doom3 I'm gonna need the newest drivers for my (lame) GFX card. So I pop over to nvidia.com and download the latest drivers, and then I get this little message:

I clicked stop, but it said it installed anyway and was fine. What does that mean? (I didn't try to install the GFX card - it came with the PC. Or is the driver counted as 'hardware'?)

oh i'd go ahead, it means that microsoft didnt look over the drivers and hit Nvidia with a big stick if there was something they didnt like , but itll work fine if its the newest drivers.

Nvidia always rushes their drivers out the door and doesn't wait for MS' approval, I'd go ahead, I always trust Nvidia.

Heh, thanks, I tried again and it's all good. Now Doom3 is stealing my sanity. Quickly.
