View Full Version : What classes are you guys taking?

I'm a freshie this year, so I'm taking the usuals:
PE (which is apparently sucky)
Marching Band (We have a really good band, one of the tops in the state.)
Spanish 1 (They say the hot chicks are in spanish at this school. That and it's more useful than French or German. My brother's taking a Japanese class at the local college, and says he's a rebel because he's taking a different class than what is offered, I tried to correct him, but anybody who's heard me talk about him before knows he's a dumbass.)
Biology (Organs n' shit, you know how it works.)
English (Woo hoo, I can learn sentence structure that nobody cares about or uses.)
History/Social Studies (I'm a conservative, so I know I'll probably be getting some shit for my viewpoints in this class.)
Debate (I heard from my best friend's brother that the subject this year is the usefulness of the United Nations in the modern world. Boy, I've loads to say on that subject.)
Algebra (taking a second time, did in 8th grade as advanced math, should be really goddamn easy this time around.)
How about you guys?

11th Grade
Hon. Physics (Modifying the phase variance. I heard that this class is hard as hell.)
Hon. British Lit (A misnomer. British people can neither write, cook, nor clean their teeth. They are only good for sailing and exploring.)
US Government
Western Civilization and Art History
Economics (M,W)/Social Doctrine (Tu/Th/F)
Hon. Pre-Calculus
Hon. Chemistry
Four honors classes, all in hard subjects. With the exception of British Literature, as we all know that's a poem somebody scribbled onto a napkin once.
This is a prep school, the hardest in the state. I'm pulling a 3.7 GPA and have been invited to a reception in my area by both MIT and Tulane to talk about their colleges.

Yharr. Notice the lack of a foriegn language course: I have completed two years of Spanish in 9th and 10th grades, fufilling my quota for collij entry. I get no more because I have completely finished the system: the last course (VII or something) is optional and is just a review. The rest are cheapo theater courses in Spanish.

4th. Geology (SOO much easier that chem, and theres no math)
That would probably be similiar to my earth science, however, I need to take chemistry also because universities does not count earth science as a required course, but they do count Geology (the 12th grade followup to earth sciences) as an accepted course. Even though I wont continue with chemistry in grade 12. The system is odd.

No its not that, i didn't try. Sad i know, i never studied for tests and did my homework 2 times a week (for math). I am mad i didn't make it either, it was take it again or take geometry (for some reason i dont think there is a Algebra2, if there is then dont quote me on it)....i dont want to walk into class wondering wtf do i do, so i gonna retake it.
History was my best subject, easy cause all we got was a worksheet in class that we finished....in class, but i got several perfecs and 1 over 100% on tests. But then the way my teacher explained it was perfect, all we had to do was take notes, read, do worksheet. If i were to teach, i'd come running to him for suggestions. But then it was US history, so i really wanted to learn that stuff.

Yea i never try in math class .My teacher hates me, I love making her life a living hell. The simplest stuff really works wonders, like i hide all chalk and erasers so no board work, I throw away her notecards so she forgets what we do today. I mess with the phone, it rings but when you answer nothing happens and it keeps ringing and you cant dial out. I hide her grade book, wear hoodies with headphones underneath hood lol its soo much fun. Math just sucks, should be shot.
