3rd Party HL mods in Steam?

I cant figure out how to play mods like The Specialist and Sven Coop on Half Life when you run it through Steam, since the Custom Game thing was taken out of the menu. plz help. :(

just follow the norm install. games should appear in games list, or just join a server running the 3rd party mod.
