Here a run down of why we pwn.

We started off with 20 bucks of candy. Went do midevil times (T-ray "BOOOOO OTHER KNIGHTS"" *go yellow knights :p)

Next day we went to epcot, and I know at least my group (flynt, strygun, cronosphere, OMA, Electrofreak) were just laughing our asses off all day.

That night we went to the doubletree resort and the devs hosted a dinner for us. We ate with them, and bugged them about things :P and then we went to the next room and we did a live ask the devs (devs got gift boxes too :p) T-ray gave away a signed 20 bucks to marsman. (random drawing)

Sunday, we all went to universal, and hfs, the mummy ride owns. Me, electro, hayoo, and waffles got seperated from the group- we had to put our bags in the lockers -_-

It was gonna rain so we headed to shrek, and out of freak chance the devs and starbum showed up. So we waited in line for an hour discussing things like AT maxes and more BFR things. The vanu hippys went and took pics of barney haha.

Then later that night, we headed to hard rock for a damn good meal. Hayoos whipping up these leet sketches on the back of his menu, (he did one on the back of mine, i got him to sign it too..ill scan it later this afternoon) and we are chatting about the phantasm.

So now we have a phantasm sketch, psu staff will put it up later.

On the planetside sketch, aside from the phantam:

The BFRs we release a month from friday
The BFRs will fit under arches
The Vanu bfr concept is the flight model. You switch out "packs" at creation. You can tell which is which.
The NC bfr is a flight one
the TR one is *not* the flight one
The TR missle spam did *not* make it in..they will probubly add it later though
Weapons: 3 driver packs, 3 gunner packs

TR: dual bursters
Giant chaingun
thats all that they could remember

NC: giant shotgun
sparrows
Friggen Ion cannon. (I called that a month in advance)

VS: I didnt ask :p


In addition, the flight is jump jet based, but you will have sufficient fuel. You will be able to lean and shit, and it apperantly looks incredably bad ass.

In order to get strafing to look right, they have the bfrs hovering when they need to do so. They lift off the ground a little with jets in their shoes.

Some other cool stuff:

Little things that plagued us forever were brought to the devs attention,

I brought the maelstrom lash grenade going the the doors to t-ray.

Patchy brought the backpacks dissapearing instantly after they appear (norm is supposed to be 20 seconds min)

And we extended that, and got t-ray to write down to ask the coders to have the backpacks not decon while we are in it.


We brought a *ton* of commander things to them. The theme for the ask the devs was "orbital platforms"

Things like cr5s should be locked in there if they want certain things i.e. global chat, and give them a rts style screen.

In order to get a bfr: You need to cap 10 bases in core combat. You then get a "key" to a bfr which you can store in your locker later till you need it.

BFR recycle is 2 hours

YOU CAN HACK ENEMY BFRs!

BFRs CAN SQUISH PEOPLE!

All bfrs have siphon ntus

BFRs have siphon armor (walk up to a tank and jack some of their armor)

Currently, they are insanely overpowered. Vanguard down in 5 seconds. An orbital strikes *only takes down the shields*

AV is not "small arms"



Another interesting fact: all psuma attendes should be getting an in game merit commindation for attenending.

SOE is on board for next year. They will give us the grand tour and we will be doing things like empire specific paintball.

And finally, at epcot a few people including me split the cost at 5 bucks each for a plaque thing to put on the wall of that "leave a legacy thing" It says PSUMA 2004, and when its up, someone (possibly me) will run back out there and take a pic of it.

When i talked to T Ray he said that there the extra gunner would have only 1 gun and it could be an anti air missle or a plasma gun, As for the Vs bfr goes one of their weapons can be a rifle that does burn damage. Also the Tr Bfr will have a granade cannon that can launch granades. The max speed is going to prolly be 60 kph 30kph up hill , the VS one will be the fastest and have the lowest armour , the NC BFR will have medium speed and medium armour , TR is the slowest but hardest to kill , and to take down the sheild on the bfr you need to one shoot the sheild generator in the back,and small arms fire will panatrate the sheild. Once you equip you BFR with atachments you cannot swap them out so you better be carefull what you pick, Some BFR's cannot enter the actual base because the brige over the entrance is too low. You will be able to fit a BFR in to a loadstar but trying to get that sucker to an altitude will be very dificult cause the weight of the load start is proportional to the weight of the BFR so the heavier the sucker is the harder and longer its gonna take to climp to the cealing.

No, Fisa said passengers enter from beneath and the back when it's landed. The pilot enters from the top I think. She said the design had to fit certain criteria: had to fit on a landing pad (size is roughly between Reaver and Lib), and it had to be sleek looking, among other things I don't recall at the moment. The gun is on the underside, meant to clear an area just before or after a drop.

Um...I think I'm going to cut back on further info dumps as the OF is kinda latching onto anything we say as gospel. :p

I'm still confused about the key idea. So if you have no space in your inventory, do you lose the 'key'? Let's say you get your 10th hack and the key shows up in your inventory and you're running it over to the locker for safe keeping. Is it legal to hunt down and slaughter the dipshit in the courtyard who started tk'ing people out of boredom, killed you and had your pack deconstruct before you could get back to it? If you kill somebody and they have a key, can you just take it?

Hacking a BFR is going to be my new favorite thing in the game, I guarantee it. It'll take a while before I get lucky enough to find one that I have a shot at, but it will be worth the wait.

I'm not saying what we'll be doing, and I don't want speculation, because it won't be for another year, and frankly Martyr and I need a break before we dive into another planning mode :p

And with that said, there is _no_ discussion so far about Mobilization Charlie... we were casually talking about doing a PSU European Tour, but oh holy hell would that be a pain in the ass. The legal forms that I drafted for this event were all well and good for the US Government and everything, and everyone who came could've gotten medical treatment if they needed it, but in Europe? Who the hell knows. Don't watch this space, I won't be thinking about it for another few years :)

See, this is the part that is throwing everyone off.

10 base hacks are involved. You must do this first to get a bfr. I am now sure if you need to do that every single time, and just farm the keys, or its to "unlock" them.

We dont know where the bfrs will be spawned. T-ray (I think) mentioned the HART. Of course, we are trying to get them to put the orbital platforms back in, so maybe they will use that. (check the video for orbital platforms info)

It's wings are folded backwards when it emerges from the v-pad. They swing forward after it lifts off. The circles in the wings are its lift engines, which I'm guessing are directable. It carries 5 people (not sure if that includes pilot but I dont think it does) who board via a ramp somehow (I'm guessing its in the back). It's only weaponry is a fairly weak belly turret used for clearing its drop area of light resistance (yes, LIGHT resistance, this thing isnt an air tank). It decloaks when it's weapon fires, and also becomes visible at higher speeds. It doesn't have a ton of armor either (but it's a stealth aircraft).
