It's not the end of the world.

However, let me give some insight. I do nothing. There isn't much to do except PC. I don't have a girlfriend, probably because my school is all-male. I don't go to parties. I go on vacation and all, and enjoy it like anyone else, but game like hell during the summer and go to school during the other three seasons.

I really wanted to go. However, my disgust isn't directed at myself, nor at my parents. It's not my fault I couldn't go (can't leave brothers together unattended.) I'm not feeling like suicide, I'm feeling like "Damn."

I doubt I'll be able to go to MB. As Smaug masterfully put it: "How is he going to go to PSU:MB if he couldn't go to one in his home state?"

I blame protective parenting and an asshole brother. There was simply no way on earth I was going to go alone. They don't think I'm ready at 16 to go alone. Tough shit. I don't think so either, all your parents are really loose.

I would have done something about him long ago, but my parents are really slow to react.

Adding insult to injury, SATURDAY OF THE MOBILIZATION, we left them unattended, together, for like 8 hours. Absolutely nothing went wrong.

I vote against splitting the under 21's and the over 21's. The whole point of the weekend was bringing us together to hang out. Even though I understand it would be fun for both groups, I think that splitting us up will somehow segregate us.

So we all share the fun until it's reality time, right? Tell me what's so ha-ha innocent about a bunch of rowdy, obnoxious punk-ass kids who shouldn't be near their daddy's liquor cabinet, who then decide to go outside and make complete public asses of themselves? Worse, these same dipshits get in the car and go drive, intending to go down the road to show Jimmy Smith how totally wasted they are and how totally cool it is.

I live in this society too. I demand compensation for having to suffer their stupidity. And since I know the court system won't give me punitive damages for having to share the same oxygen with these fucktards, I figure I'll just ask them nicely for it - as the Borg say, resistance is futile, and an ass-whipping is just as satisfying as Daddy's Allowance. And nine times out of ten, they're so blatantly hammered that they won't even remember what they were drinking the next morning.

I'm not trying to help the situation. I'm getting beer money for legal drinking, by rolling lightweights that could have prevented the situation by waiting until they're legal. I am not Superman, I cannot save the world. Unfortunately, people die in this world and I'm not going to waste my time worrying about all the shitty things that happen in life. I've seen enough tragedy and heartache to be completely jaded and deadened to the tragic losses that people suffer - even my own. I now take the time to take advantage of the opportunities that I have been given. I'll sleep when I'm dead, and I'll mourn at my own funeral.

I've had some of the funnest times (and worst...admittedly) when i've had a couple drinks and gotten a nice buzz going. No one goes out planning to get completely shitfaced. No one likes to spend the night (and the next day) barfing. It's happened to me twice, but that's because i was testing my limits. And i've found my limits.

And taking money from kids must make you feel cool. I know you're type, you're the type that will shit on people from your little perch, but only when it's safe (i.e. taking money from intoxicated kids to go drink). You're the "closet asshole" as i like to call it. :)

Actually, up until I was about 22 I was "straight-edge". So yeah. I did wait, but until after I was 21. So the rest of your post on what I did in high school or before-21 actually doesn't apply, since my friends in high school were also all straight-edge. And by the time I attended college, I was 27.
