Sorry think I should of asked this in General discussion but how can we pre-register our desired game names ......??
does it go through station.com?...or can we expect to be able to only register our name when the open beta starts.?

Jaged, be a little more pleasant.
Whacko, to tell you the truth, i'm not entirely sure...
I'm pretty sure that the registering will be similar to what Tribes 2 was. So, what i believe it to be is that you must actually have the game in your possession (be in the beta or version come March) in order for you to register your nick.

We can only hope and pray that it comes out in March. My guess, late April early May. :)
Which works for me so I can get more time and money for my uber computer, and get "The Select Few" in line, and in complete order.

Its very likely (in fact almost definately) to be the same as other MMOs...
Your station name is your log in for your account (gives you access to the server screen, bill payments etc).
You then choose your server from the list (US West, Britain etc).
Then you will choose the character you want to play or make a new one. THEN you will give him a name, or "nick". This name will be your characters name until you delete him, and will be the name used in-game (no you cant change it).
If you make a new character, then that characters name will be your name in-game, and anyone sending a message to your other character wont be able to cos your logged in with a different character.
So its a race

I imagine you start a character, then name the character. If name is taken, it tells you and you give a new name.

Well in that case please do not take the following names as I am very eager to use them:
SuperH@x0r
133+D00d
$n1p3r
CuddlyWuddlyTeddyBear
KennyGRulez
SpankMe
PrivateGrab@ss
UltimateGriefer
Ike

Someone signed up on the official forums in November of last year under the name Saint, but they have never posted, hopefully they have lost interest in the game. If you can reserve your name in beta that would be great.

Terran Elite Airborne Regiment
Well that was the first post that i've seen eMa do. I wouldn't want somebody else to steal my name of either Dark, or DarkDragon cuz i've used these since for ever. I also have some other back up names but i dont like them as much
Dark- Name jacking does not pay, because the actual owners will come after you everytime!

I don't think this'll be a problem... specialy if ya camp out at the store where you're buying and get teased by your G/Friend for it :)
If they allow the dash I'll just stick with Hunter-R because it's what all the FPS people know me as.
If not I have my good ole stand by MMORPG name that no one ever takes... ever... so with luck I'll get one of the 2
:)
Nightmare
2003-02-24, 07:12 PM
I'll be sticking with this. I usually add Rogue to te end of it, but I can't access that account because something is screwed up! So either Nightmare or NightmareRogue. I think it sounds badass, don't you?
Zatrais
2003-02-24, 07:43 PM

Deadlock
2003-02-24, 08:40 PM
