have you seen ash move ? all our outfit m8s think he cheats. over the weekend he twice wiped out 10 + guys in like 90 seconds by moving at surge speed but with weapon equipped. he is one sneaky bastard i'll admit. he'd drop on a tower we'd be holding and kill everyone on the roof and then come inside. using sweeper and rocklet and ACEs he'd come down a kill 1-3 guys then warp back upstairs without even being hit. he moves so fast and zigzags you can barely get a shot in then he zips away in a flash. repeat. is there some way of turning surge on without the startup delay? i dont know how he gets so many kills and he doesnt even use the noobhammer or the mcg. it's BS and he's got to be cheating somehow. soe needs to find these xploiters like ash and ban them for good.

Call me strange, but "it seemed like he moved fast and he killed us all" doesn't seem like grounds for banning. I stabbed a guy 5 times on secondary with melee boost and he didn't die the other night (and he had no armor when I started) but do you see me posting his name on forums calling for a ban? Crap happens, the game isn't perfect and it's not always the other guy's fault even when it seems like exploiting has to be happening.

Every dog has his day. I know I've had my Wyatt Earp runs before. I've gone running into a tech plant CC we had hacked, then the NC were just about to resecure, I alone, killed 2 MAXes and 4 grunts with a striker and cycler and stopped them from resecuring with nine seconds remaining. All this without taking more the 50 armor damage. Now, granted this is not an everyday occurance, in fact it's the ONLY time I'm been in groove like that, It can happen. Fighting with Ash, and seeing him lay down such ass whoopings almost everyday, I can honestly say he doesn't cheat, he's just got major skills most of us don't.

On another note, I've seen more people than just Ash on 10-15 kill runs using nothing more than MA and AV. Just because he kicked yalls ass, doesn't mean he's a cheater.

Ash has more kills than anybody in the game, so he's bound to get the 'hate' more. I've never even seen him, personally. Never seen dogtag either, fought alongside ICEVIPER and never noticed him getting an exceptional number of kills although it seems maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention.

The other night I took a tower that was a little out of the way (our army was headed that direction, but not too close yet) and some Rexo I'd never seen before was there. I started boomering anybody who came up the stairs and anybody I missed he was wiping out with the Jackhammer. Finally we decided we'd be better off if I tried to find the TR AMS that they were using, so I left the tower and went to jack it. There were probably 5 TR using it and assaulting the tower, and this guy blasted them all over and over until I jacked the AMS and stopped them. Then they came back with another AMS, and left a guard to look out for me. Again, they assaulted the tower. Again, his name victorious in the kill spam over and over. Finally, I saw him die and figured that was it for our tower. Then I saw 2 Supressor kills by him followed by a whole bunch more Jackhammer kills. A Prowler finally pulled up, the guys got out, I jacked it and blew the crap out of the AMS and it's guard and anybody that bothered to try and run out of the tower. This Rexo seriously had 20+ kills in a short period with only one death against ugly odds.

Some people are just better than the rest of us. You'll sleep better at night when you accept that.

From a personal standpoint: Don't accuse someone of cheating when you have no solid proof of them doing so. A few weeks ago someone convinced their WHOLE outfit to /report me because someone in it accused me of cheating. Why? I killed him, so he said "OGMWTF!1! His Portt 22 izz opennered. He'z fukin cheetin." And of course, I have no fucking clue what my port 22 does, and if it's open or not. (Probably TS?) Thankfully one of the outfit members had fought against me before and knew I didn't cheat, and they told me and their outfit about the BS. So remember kids, think before you open your mouth. You could piss someone off.

I have killed ICEVIPER before. I've never had the pleasure of meeting dogtag in-game, but i've heard/seen footage of his many ownages. Ash plays TR, so I only get the pleasure of his few, and mostly random Globals.

There is a friend of mine called 'TheViper' who has killed EVERYSINGLE well-known 'viper' player on Emerald at LEAST twice, and i THINK has only been killed by one of them. That person wasn't ICEVIPER, though. That, compatriots, is what you call a grudge.

Exactly. I am a cloaker, and if im on a good run, i get tells like this 'HAXOR!! IM REPORTING U!!' 'U HAX!' -then i try to talk to them, they are like 'I M PUTTING U ON IGNORE U HAXOR!!'

This happens about once or twice a week, when i happen to take out about 6 guys who all try to take me, with my magscatter.

I was already being chased, caught sight of him in a room, dropped a boomer at his feet, used his body to shield me from anybody who might try to shoot at me and detonated us both.

Ash has been playing since early beta, I know, I was there with him, the only difference between us is that he has continued to play almost religiously, every day since the game came out, he has never "quit" the game for a couple weeks, he is the best pilot bar none on emerald, even I in my hayday couldnt take him on in the sky, he is also a superior soldier, his skill comes from playing this game far more than you ever have, or probably ever will. He doesnt exploit, he is simply has a godly computer, a great connection, and a natural talent for planetside style FPSers, I've played with him and against him too much to ever think he exploits.

Usually those who call people hacks are either fresh from Counter Strike or some other FPS, or are people who are caught in the disbelief of someone killing their emtire squad. I've seen it happen, some people are just real sneaky and can own us all.

the only think about antarres is that he was also excellent at choosing the EXACT right moment when to surge down the stairs, I swear I never one saw him come at me when I wasnt reloading/firing at someone else/lagged, he was really very good, I also remember screaming abuse at him over tells, and him just being like "...."

I wish I could have told him the screaming abuse part is all part of the fun of the game for me :/

Well Ash has somewhere just over 100,000 kills last time I checked dicepoint for stats, and no he doesn't cheat. It has something to do with you connection speed that if you move quick enough in certain directions you will actually skip, it's just the way things work and it's not cheating to my knowledge there is nothing you can do about it. I have played with Ash on sever occasions and I can say first hand that he does not cheat. He is just good no other way of saying it.

My apologies for saying Ash had the most kills, one of the sites (planetsidestats) actually had him listed as the kill leader over all servers. It appears there are a couple of people higher than him actually. Eh, no big deal. All the leaderboard people have way more kills than I'll ever have. I don't play enough, and I usually get bored with a character before it gets too high and I start over anyhow.

I would say just report him, then that gives SOE the hint to watch him for a while. (They turn the speedhack detection software on for instance and watch him in observer for a while).

If he isnt banned, he isnt a hacker.

You dont have to say that you think he is a hacker, just that you are suspicious.

Personally I dont think ash would risk his char over a few hacks, thus I dont think he is hacking at all.

I've only ever actually gotten into 3 fights with Ash

The first was in Beta and he schooled me horribly.

The second was on release day I actually shot him in the air to a point that he bailed into a tower... then proceeded to beat on me some more when I followed him.

And third was a month or so ago durring a giant air battle where he simply brushed me off and killed me while I screamed like a little girl.


So he must cheat!

Indeed, ask any decent player ingame for a few tips, most of them aren't the nerdy life-less assholes they seem to be. The nice ones will take a few minutes to explain some things to you, the really nice ones will meet you somewhere and duel with you until you get the hang of whatever it is you wanted to learn.

I was kidding about the hacking part, but am I jealous? no, only a dipshit would come to that conclusion, a dipshit or a kid. On the contrary I would be worried about my health if I had played video games that much, and I would be worried about my mental health if I played one game in particular that much. I'm the equivilent of dreamer at halo, but I play it mabye 2 times a week at most, mostly because of the lack of competition, I can steamroll anyone, and almost any number of people against me, its just not that much fun unless Im in the mood for mindless killing.

Has 91,421 kills, and is atop the all time / all server leaderboard. So Ash, with his 86,255 isn't "the best" per se. Their difference in kills alone is more kills than I have total, (god I suck)

People still hack in this game regularly. For example in the next patch they are going to implement code to stop packet blocking exploits. Last night in a tower battle I saw someone speedhacking and I saw a handfull of people doing it about a week ago as well

If you want proof of cheating, check the OF. Somebody got FRAPS of a Markov player named LITHlUM (that's a lower case 'l') and his buddy. They're both cloakers using AMPs. They fire on people from 50+ meters and the AMPs have zero COF bloom. One of the two of them doesn't even become more visible as he fires. In another separate thread this same douche admits to turning his gamma up so that all cloakers turn red, saving himself an implant slot. What's funny is that both threads popped up at almost the same time from different people, both with FRAPS proof. Of course, there has been zero dev response.

As far as Ash goes, I finally saw him in game. I'd just gotten CC, grabbed a flail to be the annoying skill-less spammer rather than the guy being spammed, fired at a far off tower and right before my shot hit the door opened and a guy ran out. Kill spam tells me I killed Ash. Cool. My flail takes a ton of damage but is still alive about 3 minutes later when a Reaver comes over the hill behind me and rocket spams me to death. Ash killed me. So I guess we're 1/1, but we still haven't actually fought.

I'm confused. You've done what? Fired an MCG on full auto with no COF bloom whatsoever? Watch the video on the OF, they are firing AMPs in full auto and every shot is straight at the target. There's definitely a hack going on, no doubt about it. I have no doubt that the same hack could be applied on the MCG, but there's no video up of that.

im on the game religiously (apart from teh past 3 days), and think yeah, im alright, im a vs on emerald and think i like it enough that i wont bother makin any other characters, just get as good as i can with this guy and piss off ppl the same way this guy obviously has :D
one thing that should be modified, is the friggin reavers missile spamming of foot sols...
its the most annoying thing ever! ppl rack up easy kills with it, no skill what so ever.. example.. u have to use the wg to get to a cont, u have really far to go to get to a base or friendly tower, some retard who is too rubbish to stay alive 5 seconds over the real action, is camping the wg for easy targets. thats just lame!
