Always say no to the best looking side of a game, you have to take into consideration that every newbie will look into who 'Looks' best at first. Terran Republic all the way! :D

Somehow i doubt the NC will be the kings of firepower and armor... I put my money on TR having the most armor since the prowler is describes as the heavily armored while the vanguard is discribed as solid.. course thats not scientific, but it's what i think =)

BUT look at the gun on the Vanguard!!! IT HUGE!!! I dont think any other vech will be able to toe to toe with it. I do think that the TR one MIGHT have more armor (due to this: http://www.planetside-universe.com/media/viewer.php?img_id=343 ) but a 150mm gun does a lot more dmg than a 100 mm gun.

I'm all for the NC, but stop with these lame posts allready.

Terrans are the kings of firepower, all things considered. The ROF will be able to do more damage quickly, but not neccisaraly on the first shot.

The NC will have the best damage per shot, but at the expence of ROF. Also, it has been indirectly stated that the Vangaurd will have shields. I'm to lasy to look up a link right now, but it was durrring one of the dev interviews that this was aluded to.

High damage per shot however will still be an asset as the first shot can make a huge difference, especialy with infantry support.

The Vanu will have the advantage of speed and better ability at range(lower recoil). The also have the vercitility of only haveing to carry 1 ammo type for both normal and AP fireing modes.

It will be funny when your reavers get 1-shoted by good Vangaurd gunners, and there always the dual 20mm cannons that I immagine will do very respectable damage to aircraft.

I joined the NC because they believe in freedom, and I enjoy geting into character. The Gauss and Tank were just a nice perk.

By you're logic everyone joins the VS because they have jumpjets and everyone joins the TR because they have dual weapons.

I'm not saying that i chose an empire solely on ideals, because I did seriously think on joining TR for the fast weapons. in the end I chose NC, because of ideals, weapons, storyline, and blue and yellow are funky :eek: unfortunately, after working on my clan web page for a while. Blue and yellow have been stained onto my retina.

I chose NC for color, (blue is fave), their ideas, (fighting for freedom), their underdoggedness, (is that real word?) and the fact that Gauss Rifles own. I don't wanna be in a Vanguard. Reaver pilots 4ever! I may aslo pilot Galaxies and Mosquitos.

I would assume so as well, seems like more manueverability plus it doesn't seem right for a tank to shoot down a plane...yet this is how it is...lol

im not so sure that the Reavers have such a great advantage. Sure the can fly, thats a plus, but their weapons are rockets. unless they changed them, they are dumbfire so you have to look at what you are shooting and fly towards it. now, on the other hand, the tank can drive sideways while moving the turret 360 degress (i presume, not sure if the can or not).

If the tank was to see the Reaver incoming, you would think that the driver would take evasive action(or he could be a total dolt and sit there). if the rockets have any travel time whatsoever, the reaver will have to get reasonably close to the tank to insure a hit. while the reaver is closing on the tank the tank is driving like mad and the gunner is lining up his shot. then it would matter on who shoots first or who can dodge rockets/ cannon fire the best.

Personally i think that the Reaver will be more of a, come out of nowhere and blow the crap out of the tank and fly away gunship, rather then the invincible tank killing machine that some people think it is (i am not referring to any one person specifically).

this is all theoretical mind you, i could just be talking out of my ass here. i just got the urge to type an annoyingly long post for no appearent reason about something that i really have no clue about. :D ;)

All = everyone, Some, would be a lot better term to use. I didn't join the NC just because of the Vanguard. I personaly don't expect to be driving many vehicles, being a engineer/grunt, I will first, spend most of my time supporting my squad and second, hunting down any enemy armor with extreme prejudice. I joined up with the NC as a whole I like everything about them from there weapons and armor to there vehicles and ideals. :D As far as NC being the best, only time and player skill will tell.
