Something big was supposed to happen when that countdown finished. Obviously it wasn't a release, that was a stupid theory. Did anything happen that I missed? It would be kinda stupid if that date came and passed with out anything happening.

The operator grew axons.

On the Fun Stuff Links page there are coordinates and times. These are real life payphones that you have to answer, at the time specified. Go ahead and look up the longtitude and latitude coordinates and answer one of them. It'll help us near completion to the mystery. I'm not kidding, by the way, this is real shit.

Also, the site deformed some more.

On July Twentysomething the Halo 2 Theatrical trailer was released.
At the end, it said "www.xbox.com" and for a split second changed to "www.ilovebees.com" then changed back. The Halo community exploded.

Originally there was a countdown leading to August 24th but that day has passed.

Wow, I just realised that. The only thing happening for Halo 2 is that the band Regurgitator will be playing it.

Coming from a personal friend who works at Microsoft, "August 24th is real close to the day Halo 2'd be going gold, if not the day."

Octavian
2004-08-29, 01:08 AM
Your friend must have received it from a false news source or he's just trying to get your hopes up. Bungie wouldn't allow the game to be released so early.

...Gold, as in they start printing the discs. This guy is 38, he's really not the type to lie over something some trivial. Logically, that makes perfect sense.

That's still about 3 months before the game is released. Plus the cinematics are far from done.

Mag
2004-08-29, 01:19 AM
You'd imagine they'd want a lot of copies on the shelf for the game in line to be the top-grossing game of all-time. And throw me a link claiming the cinematics aren't complete.

But even if they were near done, they'd still have to do all the foreign language translations.

BTW, I personally know people in their 50's and they're pretty immature.

Ok, this is what i've been doing for the last hour.

I've been listening to the sound files on the fun links page and I've realised all of the sound clips are seperate events that are linked somehow.

I've got the order for 2 events. I'll post the order of the sound clips and basically say what's been going on in the events.

Event 1
Sound files in order:
blip (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/blip.wav)
pillow (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/pillow.wav)
walkaway girl (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/walkaway_girl.wav)
hey soldier (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/hey_soldier.wav)
-END-

What basically happens in this event is that the person who is later revealed as "Jan Jameson" is running around dodging security. She's found by a power surge that caused a jump to "Threat condition Bravo" that caused the security to trigger and find her. She dodges a camera and hacks through a door and goes up to the roof. We find out that her dad is from the SSF (Special Security Force). She jumps off the roof over the fence (Drop is 3 stories). They catch her. She says to the guard "Hey solider, is that an assault rifle in your hand? Or are you just happy to see me?"
Event ends.

Event 2
pqi (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/pqi.wav)
stupid cop (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/stupid_cop.wav)
yes or no (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/yes_or_no.wav)
hey dad (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/hey_dad.wav)
nervous (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/nervous.wav)
-END-

This is the interrogation of Jan. She says that she's going to get into trouble with her dad. She's 17. She says that she told the MPs that she was lost. The lie detector beeps. She says she was on a dare by her friends to jump the fence. She was in a restricted area. The interrogator says that there was an abandoned vehicle found outside in a ditch an hour ago, and asks if she had anything to do with this. She says she didn't know, after leading the officer through some short word shenanigans. The interrogator says he's stupid. I have no idea why. He asks her if she knows that people can "Beat the quiz". She says she does. The interrogator asks if she was drinking. She says she was. Interrogator says he can cross reference with the urine sample. She seems nervous at this. Her dad arrives. She says "Hi Dad" and the interrogator notes to himself that there was a 'spike' on the bassline (Lie detector). Perhaps he isn't her dad? Interrogator explains the tests. Her dad tells her to take the lie detector off. He says that he wants his lawyer to be here. The daughter says that it doesn't matter about taking the tests. The father says that she doesn't know what matters. It sounds like he's subtly telling her to not go through with the tests. Maybe the tests would discover something? He goes into the waiting room.
Event ends.

Event 3
law abiding (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/law_abiding.wav)
you knew (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/you_knew.wav)
-END-

This is maybe the most shortest part, but yet the most mysterious and meaningful. Jan and her dad are on the way back home in a car. It turns out Jan knew about the car found in the ditch all along. When she was caught, she was trying to return the gatepass to one of the security guys. "Dwain's dad" apparently. Her father says that there's some kind of trouble "We" can't get in. He uses "We" like they were different from other people. If they do get in trouble, sooner or later people are going to get hurt. Jan knew this apparently. "Not in so many words, but you did, didn't you?" Is what her dad says to her. He should've said something, and it's on him and his unit. What is on him and his unit is perhaps the responsibilty of Jan. Apparently, they should have controlled the situation. Now, from listening to the other clips, there was some kind of virus outbreak that caused lots of mayhem. It stopped things from working, and caused that massive power surge that triggered the alarms. Perhaps this is what Jan's dad should've controlled? Her dad says he'll take care of it.
Event ends.

Event 4
dizzy (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/dizzy.wav)
escape (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/excape.wav)
jersy (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/jersy.wav)
reflected (http://www.ilovebees.com/outbound/reflected.wav)
-END-

This is an important event indeed. It happens before Event 1. It starts with an AI called "Genie" finding a foreign AI during a scan after a crash. The FAI (Foreign AI) says things reminiscent of The Operator (read more about it on the ilovebeesblog). The controller of the system tells Genie to delete the FAI. Genie is destroyed. The FAI apologises and said that it was nessicary to do that in order to stay alive. It then proceeds to "Wet the system" and integrate with the files, just like the AI did with the ilovebees site. The FAI tells the controller not to restart. Obviously, the FAI is intelligent enough to predict what the controller will do next, or maybe can actually see him. The controller asks the FAI whether it is a "Navy Sentinal" or not. It says it isn't and points out that 2 were trying to get past the controller's securitybot. The FAI stung them. The controller asks the FAI what it is. The FAI explains it likes to find things, but is uncertain what it likes to find. The FAI asks for a target. The controller tells the FAI to find things out about himself. The FAI tells the controller alot of things. One of the things was who his mother was cheating on his dad with, and what foods the person she was cheating on ordered for her, and the exact temperatures and fat content. But that isn't important. Jersy (The controller) asks if the FAI can do this to anyone. FAI says yes. The FAI doesn't know what she's called. The FAI says she would like to know, but she can't because she is reflected. Bounced away. Jersy calls the FAI Durga.

Jersy tells Durga to find information about Jan James. This is what causes the alarms to be triggered. Durga explains that her father is a "Grey Hole". When you reach down, all you get is lint. He has a fake name, fake registrations. He's 'highly fictional'. There used to be someone else involved with Jan. Durga asks Jersy if he would like more information. Durga explains it is highly guarded, so Jersy decides not to pursue that information. Jersy asks for pictures. Durga explains she 'can do better than that'.

It seems Jersy has the hots for Jan.

That's all the relevant information. The other Events are:
A geek going on a date with someone, and a guy on a radio tell him what to do. He's quoting out of a book. I think this is for purely comedy values.
A girlfriend asking Jersy to stalk her boyfriend. He finds that he's meeting someone in a restaurant. And there's tuna on the menu *whistles in awe*. She completely humiliates him by telling him that if he wears loose pants and uses the cream the doctor gave him, the sores should go away.
A short Event which includes someone phoning the emergency services because of a fire station burning down. The automated bot on the other side of the phone doesn't sense any fire.

If anyone would like to do similar for those 2 events like I've done, It would be welcome. Be sure to listen to the wind up and wind down noises that dictate whether the memory piece is fragmented (spread over a few clips) or not.

...weird, perhaps the operator has manifested itself in a human form? Fictionally speaking of course.

there are two more events, or prehaps parts you left out, one of em is a dude on a date, and the other is some AI hacking and taking over a kids computer and he talks with it.

Those are the clips played over the payphones.

And everay, I didn't include those two events because I thought they were simply there to add some amusement. They don't seem relevent to the story.

i think the AI thing has SOME improtance, i mean, it haxed into that girls dads records and found out he was using false ID and is really ex Special Forces, and the AI said she could get dirt on any admiral, the kid isnt important, but i think the AI is. as for the date, it has some relevence to it all, he was hacking and doing stuff that was thought to be impossible, at least by the girl, sooooo i dont know how this could tie into Halo2, but i think it might have some importance.
