meh for 800 buck hes looking in th 2800 2.8ghz range, and the P4 perfoms better at those speeds as that not enough to go 64.

The 2.8 will outperform a XP2800 sure, but question is with only $800 is the price to performance difference there worth it. Current pricewatch shows the p4 2.8 c/e at $160. XP2800/333's at $75. Thats over double. Also generally a good p4 mb will cost more than a good nf2 board.

With the XP3200 at $111-115 range now, that is easily the BEST deal going in the CPU market. Intel can't touch this. Hell I want to go out and build a new system just b/c of the price.

XP3200 $107 (Be sure to turn off all the options|site has good feedback)

Shuttle AN35N NF2 Ultra 400 $55 (well rated for a value board)

Thats $175 or so with shipping, tax, etc. A gig of ram corsair value, case\w ps, cd\dvd should put you up to about $400. 80-120 gig HD for $80 range. Leaving about $300 or less for video. Personally I'd either find another $100 and buy a GT or dump another $100 into the ram and get some good stuff and put $200 towards a 9800 Pro.

*Hell I couldn't resist, $111.02 shipped for a xp3200...DAMN...
