Provided Hurricane Ivan doesn't hit Warp 2 and crash into us a few days early, I will be attending the Van Halen concert in Fort Lauterdale, FL (Office Depot center.)
We have the binoculars ready.

I saw Van HAlen twice on this tour. The second time was from 10 rows back. Show was fuckin' unbelievable. They really put on a good show. Much better than their last two tours, but not as good as their FUCK tour. Their stage effects were the best they have ever done. It really adds atmosphere to the bad ass music. I can't believe that Sammy is 56 and runs around like the animal that he is.

I saw Van Halen twice when David Lee Roth was their frontman. Good show - Eddie is a wizard on the guitar.

By that rule, Miami is the first circle of Hell, with Detroit ranking 7th. Ft. Lauterdale owns Miami.

(WARNING: RURAL IGNORANCE QUESTION)
What does Van Halen do? They're a band, of course, but they're what? Metal? Pop? I haven't a clue and I feel points being subtracted....

I've seen them 3 times, great live band. I will say that their show diminishes on subsequent viewings, though.

Classic rock (80s era, but not sucky 80s. This is hard rock.)

Take on Me was a great song. I really liked that one.
The VH concert was really good. When I was up close it felt like the earth was shaking it was so loud.
I still can't believe Sammy is 56 years old and running around like that. He must b ein some good shape, or perpetually drunk ...
